Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

The ability to compromise. The ability to at least fake he knows what most people’s lives are like and what they want. He’s not a good communicator and lacks eloquence.

What are Musk’s? He invented electricity? Social media? Space flight? Hair transplants?

100% agree. Life is full of trade-offs, and sometimes we don’t fully understand repercussions until we live them. And most people will never have context to understand trade-offs between whatever Musk traded for playing a huge role in ushering a new energy revolution, Internet and essentially communication accessibility and potentially putting humans on mars. And earning billions in the process.

We all view the world through our own lense and paradigms are a real thing. It’s easy to criticize over some avocado toast and a decision to work a little late one day vs. coming home early with flowers.

I’ll add that he probably doesn’t lack any of those things, he isn’t Jesus. And like all of us, he is his own worst enemy.

Here’s the thing, Kamala, like her or not, got to a place via some ability to work the system. She didn’t need to be worth billions to get a seat at the table. She didn’t need to buy Twitter to get her message across. She was in a position to become president. Maybe there’s some luck there but there is more to it than that.

This also gets to the silly idea that one can’t criticize someone who has more accomplishments in life. I guess that means none of us can criticize Obama as he was president; I don’t think any of us can match that.

Yeah, spreading her legs.

They played the political game, built alliances, and worked within the framework of institutions and bureaucracy. They are puppets of that system.

Elon is outside of that. Why would he be “invited to the table” if he won’t be bought? His power comes from creating his own influence and people respect that.

You think those are always good things? Especially among politicians? You’re describing con artists. The ability to fake it, compromise for personal gain, and speak eloquently without substance those are the traits of someone skilled at manipulation, not leadership.

Keep thinking that. He has his own agenda and self interests in mind. He isn’t doing you any favors. That’s reality.

But he does have something to sell.

That’s irrelevant; it’s how things work.

Why did Musk buy Twitter? To manipulate.

You can’t trust Elon Musk. He got rich in the private sector! Just like Trump.

You should instead trust “experienced” politicians, who all become multi-millionaires while holding office and being paid modest salaries.

It is laughable to me.

He got subsidies.

Who were bankrolled by people like Musk.

Laughing usually precedes crying.

Leftists universally despise people who cannot be corrupted, silenced or imprisoned.

That’s why they love censorship and adopt the language of totalitarians and cult leaders by telling you to “trust the experts”. That’s also why gulags are eventually necessary.

That’s why the Two Minutes Hate began being directed at Musk when he bought out one of their most effective censorship platforms that was operating at the behest of The Party.

Everyone can be corrupted, silenced or imprisoned.

History has shown that isn’t exclusive to any one side.

That’s good to know. I won’t trust Musk even though he is supposedly an expert.

It just switched parties.

Okay, same stuff on both sides guy.

You believe there are sides? These things happened long before there was a USA and Republicans and Democrats. Cui bono.

Yes, I believe there are significant differences between our main political parties. Republicans, for instance, don’t believe that my city is experiencing a shortage of migrants. Democrats do. That’s a pretty impactful policy and it’s just one of many.

Manufactured for your discontent.

Or do they want you to believe that’s what they believe? We’ve had Republican presidents before, what did they really do about illegals? I would love to see something done but I don’t believe they will do anything beyond appearing to do something.

WHEREFORE, instead of gazing at each other with suspicious or doubtful curiosity, let each of us hold out to his neighbor the hearty hand of friendship, and unite in drawing a line, which, like an act of oblivion, shall bury in forgetfulness every former dissention. Let the names of Whig and Tory be extinct; and let none other be heard among us, than those of a good citizen; an open and resolute friend; and a virtuous supporter of the RIGHTS of MANKIND, and of the FREE AND INDEPENDANT STATES OF AMERICA.

There are precisely zero Republicans in Maine who think it is important to tell public school students that they might be, can be, and even should be members of the opposite sex, let alone pump them full of cross-sex hormones without their parents permission.

That’s the actual policy in Maine, and they are trying to expand the concept to include on-site “health clinics” to dispense medication to children without parental approval.

There’s nothing manufactured about doing that to kids. It’s no wonder you’re confused about your own politics and can’t even describe them.

Liberals are so fucking creepy and degenerate

As someone who still considers himself a liberal in many ways, I should take some level of offense to that, but you’re completely correct in 2024.

I used to hate the phrase “liberalism is mental illness”, but it becomes more and more true every year that passes. The outcomes of it are right in front of us, and really bad.

I should say neo-lib or leftist. I have classic liberal leanings.

They have their own propaganda they want to impose on kids.

I’m not confused, you’re confused because you can’t label me. Politicians have always put themselves first. I have no delusions. I seek no messiah.

Part of the left’s success is due to the muddying up of language, where people like @zecarlo are always ready to come along and say “that’s not really real, man.”

I actually support means-tested social welfare concepts in the framework of a constitutional republic and a free market. I support the concept of public schools.

These concepts are completely incompatible with Democrat policy in 2024.

You can’t label yourself. That tells me you really don’t understand much at all about politics. You’re a de-facto Marxist who can only critique, not construct.
