Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

Which people? You stepped into that one.

Right but the comparison was of agrarian folks vs post Industrial Revolution modernity. Not tribal Africans.

Let’s not lose the ball. Every culture has been built by people. Cultures aren’t just waiting in the shadows to pounce on a people group and force feed them Chaucer. And Chaucer isn’t the life giver that the experience of “doing” is. Art imitates life.

The PRC has job openings for American PR agents…

I always say (maybe I’ll be wrong this time) that China will never invade Taiwan militarily, because the Chinese are terrible fighters, everybody over history has kicked their butt. Fortunately for modern day China, nuclear weapons changed everything.

They were poor and they suffered but there was organization and structure. They were taxed after all. They also had language, religion, laws and cultural products.

Even their ancient martial arts suck in comparison to Asian neighbors.

That’s why I studied karate LOL.

Steven Seagall would like a word.

Which ones? The artists and philosophers. And culture is learned.

No, it explains life, otherwise, what’s the point? What life did The Odyssey imitate?

Maybe they’re too busy building things.

I think you have that backwards.

I know what I said.

Or did you say what you know?

What I said is that I know.

And Western Culture, specifically humanism in Italy starting in the 13th century, sought to lift man out of that state via our sense of reason.

I still think that all you need to understand Western civilization is The Iliad, The Odyssey, and The Bible.

Everything else is built on that.

Are you channeling Joyce?

Not intentionally, but I was channeling Wilde earlier.
