Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

You might be interested in reading this thread about Nick Fuentes’s demonstrably inorganic social media boosts (or not). That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have real followers and a real audience, but it does mean that a lot of his social media clout is manufactured and funded by people other than actual “America First” Americans.

In local news, the Iman Osman scandal continues to get weirder in all of the expected ways. Our school committee chairwoman is a pathological liar and a raging narcissist, which is par for the course for woke white women active in Maine politics. Libs of TikTok has been picking up stories of our local dysfunction, and now she’s claiming that she’s received threats and insinuates that other school committee members have something to do with it, which is absurd. They just don’t want a super-shady guy who claims to live in a condemned meth house and is currently under indictment for firearms theft serving on the school committee.

Her stories falls apart because she hasn’t reported any threats to the Lewiston Police Department. Maybe she will soon, but as of now she hasn’t.

DARVO in action.

They live in a world of red herrings and strawmen.

Everything they argue about or claim is or was happening is predicated on “What If” and designed to either deflect from or put forth a talking point, with a cherry on top being that they’ve achieved victim status.

Me neither. I like to imagine that they’ve caught on fire from the kerosene residue in the cocaine + explosives, then floundered about gulping salt water with their injuries until sharks join the party and tear the burnt flesh from their broken bones.

:+1:.

I think they should be used for cwis practice. BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Haven’t all y’all talked extensively about your own previous or current illegal activities? How’s that square out?

It doesn’t give license to the cartels to do what they’ve done, and are doing.

I take responsibility for my own actions, they take responsibility for theirs.

That, and its a live by the sword/die by the sword life. You know the consequences. They know the consequences. Nobody is naive about risk or reward.

I may have been involved in the distribution of black market plant matter over 25 years ago, but I’m now a 45 year old man with evolved thoughts about politics.

So they get to be free target practice, you get what?

So it would be fair to brrrpt you then?

For some reason I thought you were 65+. Good to know.

I get to live.

I had to ask grok what brrpt means, but I appreciate the compliment of assuming 20 years of additional wisdom.

Are we talking these Venezuelan drug boats being destroyed in international waters?

My question is, would it be better if we went back to the old methods? Take the ship, hang or maroon the crew to set a public example. Sink the ship, spear the survivors. Like most things, same as it ever was. Governments have been battling smugglers and pirates for centuries.

Hammurabi’s code, I believe. I personally don’t agree with an “eye for an eye” approach as it ultimately just results in who is most powerful, which is the problem to begin with when discussing groups like cartels. They are using torture and threats of extreme violence to leverage power, and returning the favor simply means whoever is in charge is “right”, and there’s just a continual power struggle with each belief set operating around the same playbook.

Conversely, eliminate the organization by isolating them as extreme for general public sentiment and then by deconstructing power. This probably does look like killing leadership and foot soldiers in the way but once deconstructed they’re simply gone and it can be done with more of a surgical purpose. No need to burn eyeballs out of sockets with heated metal rods and filet them alive. Plus, what do you do with the guy who carries that out? He’s a good guy because he’s on team “against the cartel” but is he?

Those are things to consider. I was speaking more philosophically about valuing the life of somebody or some people that don’t value life.

Maybe they value their own above others, maybe they don’t value any.

This is in the midst of people talking about due processes which they know nothing about, and war crimes that they also know nothing about.

But strip away the sophistry and what do you have? One group on this side that really doesn’t care a single iota about anybody, and even less if you try to stop them. And the other- Us, trying to stop them.

Down at the granular level- I wouldn’t place the burden of doing the things the cartels do on the people we have trying to stop them. We’re raised for the most part to believe in the sanctity of life and value of others. That can be a great thing, but there seems to be a faction of people in the US that are trying to use it against those that protect us, and to the detriment of the general public.

Hence the query “Whats all the hubbub?”

I have never done any illegal activities that have harmed anyone to my knowledge.

I am beginning to think every person that “rises” to fame or any big podcaster is a fed.

Controlled opposition - more of the same bullshit. The entire game is controlled by people that disdain and hate us.

Trump included.

Good discussion. Seems like Nick does a good job identifying issues, but doesn’t really have detailed ideas on how to fix them.

100% agree. They should be eliminated and it’s going to require violence to do it. All I’m saying is there’s a difference between eliminating them and becoming them in the process.

Are there really any good paths or ways to fix our issues without an extensive period of pain and austerity?

I’d argue no.

I am suspicious of anyone who monetizes social media clout as their main source of income, as it presents too many incentives to spout bullshit. Direct payments from foreign nationals, special interest groups, etc are one form. So is the Nick Fuentes model of just being controversial and inflammatory all of the time, i.e. ragebaiting.

Trump was a famous New York billionaire playboy before I was born and isn’t exactly a master of social media or even public speaking, so I have a hard time believing that the entire saga of his political career is some manufactured drama. If it is, it is the most convincing political drama ever staged. His actual policy enactments still lead me to believe that he’s what he has always claimed to be, at least far more so than any other President of my life. He was never supposed to be president, which is why the uniparty of Washington D.C. united against him.

For local news, which is what matters most, there is literally no such thing as straightforward professional journalists covering Maine or Lewiston politics. All of Maine’s largest newspapers were bought out by a Soros nonprofit a few years ago in addition to receiving millions of “marketing” payments from the Mills administration, hidden in plain sight on the purchase orders.

The Maine Wire is the best we have, and they are also a nonprofit who are funded by a guy named Leonard Leo. They’re fantastic right now as opposition media, but I doubt they’d have the same tenacity if Maine ever flipped red.

The best source of local news for me are the handful of neighbors who diligently watch all of the city council and school committee meetings. I watch a lot myself, too, but not every minute of them like some people. Some are excruciatingly long.

When the journalism business stops doing journalism, you have to do it yourself or it doesn’t get done at all. For national-level social media worth following, DataRepublican is my #1 favorite account on X. I’m sure she makes good money off of social media, but she already made good money by being a genius computer scientist. CynicalPublius is another great account who offers analysis grounded in real experience and a lack of political ambition.

One of Maine’s best sources is just a guy who calls up government offices and plays dumb to see what they say. Here’s his fake call to my local DMV inquiring about getting a driver’s license for a foreign national who doesn’t speak English and ran over a pedestrian in his home country. No major newspaper will report on this in Maine.
