DOGE is getting embedded in many government agencies and it has laid down a method for analyzing the completely mind-boggling array of information that needs to be examined to even make sense of what the Federal government is doing. It would still be a black hole of poorly-maintained databases flowing money through an incomprehensible network of NGO’s. I’m not sure it was even possible to systematically analyze it all without AI. Again, if you compare it to an idealized outcome, I guess you could call it a failure, but if you compare it to the past, it was a big step in the right direction.

I’ve recently begun following James Lindsay and while I think he goes overboard with calling too many people “woke right”, I see enough evidence for it that the term has validity grounded in historical and present-day fact.
He defines it well, but in very simple terms, if you’re comparing reality or your understanding of the past to an ideal situation, and not something else in reality, your brain is working like a leftist’s.

Maybe his opinions on Fuentes have changed, but he called Fuentes correctly before all of the location data on X confirmed that he had a significant boost from foreign accounts. He’s a smart guy, that @bauber.
