Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

Bang…not marriage…big difference, lol

I could say we have similar figures here. As for private businesses, they are free to hire whoever they want. If they want to enforce certain political values, they’re free to do so.

I could give examples of also publicly funded figures who are appearing “woke” or whatever. But we have publicly funded conservative figures too. As for media. It depends, some lean to more liberal stuff, some are more critical towards certain trends. I guess you’ll have publicly funded conservatives too?

I see it here as a normal debate between different values and worldviews. Certain leftist liberalism is definitely a trend, not sure I would describe as democratic socialism, which has been one of the biggest political movements here since 1906.

But it’s real. I think it’s not systematically guided by anyone more than modern neoconservativism is (which is other dominant trend, specially amongst young men.)

Allow me to be a little more obtuse. If I had my choice Trump send the help to the cities of “red states” first. I believe he should help those who helped him before he helps those who don’t.

And those big blue cities are in the capable hands of Democratic leadership.

That’s objectively wrong here in the USA. We’ve been funding the woke ideology with vast public resources, including the actual mass migration trafficking machine.

Of course all kinds of political ideas have been around for a long time, including transgenderism, but the systematic incorporation of them in a historically sudden matter doesn’t happen organically. It was done to us, by us, at least here in the USA.

All data I can see in Finland tells me you guys avoided a lot of the nonsense, which is great, btw. Maybe having a sensible system of voter ID is one of the reasons why.

Exactly. That’s the more cynical take.

I think it does serve him better from a political perspective to do what he’s doing, how he’s doing it. We’ll see if all of the people who told us Hunter Biden’s laptop was fake can make the case that he’s an American Hitler.

Not all. We have similar discussions, just less extreme. I think that ties down to cultural differences and multiparty system.

The thing where it gets heated is when these values are used in practice in lawmaking. Like you’ve mentioned about immigrant voting etc.

Usually the extremes are always bad and unrealistic (like completely closed/open borders). But at least here most laws seem to be compromised/made more sensible between parties and practice.

There’s always idiots in both sides to boast great ideas and sometimes outright lies, but they seem to have limited power to achieve drastic changes to society.

I’m interested to see if the political division will deepen here too. Finland is economically quite leftist compared to US, but our economy is going to the shitter because of variety of reasons. That will make all political debates more hostile.

By nonsense I mean actual public policy implementation, not the ideas themselves or even public discussion.

That doesn’t strike me as cynical at all.

The cynical take would be that he isn’t “helping” the cities he’s sending troops to as the main goal, he’s sending a message to the cities that didn’t vote for him and the leaders there that oppose his agenda. If it had anything to do with “helping” he would be sending them to the most highly affected cities, which he isn’t doing, he’s sending them to political hot potato cities with notable opposition and voters who don’t like him.

If he couched it as Help and had people asking for it and sending it there the optics would be completely different, but he doesn’t want those optics, he wants the optics that if you speak out against him you get the military sent to your city

I guess this depends on how you ask. If you get what I mean.

I actually agree, I just phrased it poorly. It’s a different cynical take, i.e. helping the people who get him elected, not the cities who oppose him.

I think it will actually help a lot of the everyday people if he deploys the guard to a lot of different cities. Gunshots really suck to live around.

It is also 100 percent a political move with an expected political result. Like he just told us, he’s at war. The Democrats never declared war, they just waged it anyway.

Yeah there are a lot of weeds and I’m sure plenty of woke ideas were implemented in Finland, too, but I also don’t believe you have any public schools that speak 42 different languages, either.

Maybe I spoke too soon. According to Grok, Helsinki offers multilingual instruction in 40 languages. Some of that is expected due to being in Europe and all, but it sounds like Helsinki will be up to 25 percent non-Finnish speaking students by around 2030, if current trends hold.

So your capital is about halfway into the process and two languages behind Lewiston, Maine, according to Grok, at least. Be sure to check back into this thread if you cross the 50 percent Muslim student population threshold and let us know if Helsinki is any different.

The much-needed rain seems to have ended, so it is time for me to step away from the keyboard for a while.

Immigration is relatively low in Finland, but it’s focused in certain areas. I’ve lived in one area with very high muslim population and know several muslims personally. The problems caused by immigration are no foreign to us.

Finland has tightened its immigration policies a ton in 10 years or so. Deportations are pretty common etc. Some argue that they’re already too tight, since even completely integrated working immigrants are being deported.

But immigration is a huge topic here too, even though the issue is not so severe compared to many other European counterparts.

I think it’s one of the megatrends of modern world, and every country needs to address it somehow. And global immigration movement will only increase in the future.

Ps. And yes. EU and Europe matters here too, since many of the immigrants and foreign languages are actually other Europeans. It’s not uncommon for European to speak 2,3 or even 5 languages. Biggest group of immigrants in Finland are currently Ukrainians.

The internet just enabled Robert DeNiro to challenge my worldview with the same intensity he brought to his masterful portrayal of the fictional character of young Vito Corleone in Godfather Part II.

You got so lost in your own hypothetical that you’re ignoring the actual legitimate reasons for what he’s doing, and the local citizenry that are actually Praying for it.

Good job. You successfully gaslit yourself. Again.

Belgium is due to cross 50%+ Muslim within twenty years. A prominent Muslim Belgian politician just came out and said (to the majority non Muslim population) “if you don’t like Islam, you can LEAVE Belgium”

I don’t know of any other culture that immigrates only to relentlessly disregard the culture they’ve immigrated into and impart their own fundamentalist philosophy that led to them needing to immigrate in the first place.

Go back to that third world Islamic theocracy if you like those rules so much… but wait? What’s that? The west has better resources, job opportunities, free speech?

I love this quote from a Saudi Prince from back in the 2000’s where he says “the west believes they know how to deal with Islam… they believe through democratic ideals, free speech and tolerance they can reign in this population… but they’re going to see with mass migration type policies that they are unbelievably ignorant on this issue”

Saudi, UAE, Qatar etc have a lot of radicalism within their own populations but they are rather unique in that their governments don’t want this… radicalism sows distrust towards the government, and leads to terrorist attacks on domestic soil as well as overseas that brings undue scrutiny/pressure

Europe needa to take a lesson from Poland. Immigrants from non culturally assimilated areas rarely seek refuge in Poland and if they DO it’s because they are pro-west/first world. Poland makes its stance clear, they do not like religious fundamentalism… ans they will not tolerate assault, rape or serious criminality from immigrants whereas countries like Aus/UK are setting up this ridiculous two tier justice system where immigrants get off lighter

Which is absurd considering you are letting people who aren’t even citizens off zlighter than you would an actual citizen based on circumstances relateing to where these immigrants used to inhabit “Somalia is a violent place”

What about the Australians who don’t care whether Somalia is violent or not?… they just don’t want violence in their own communities

Just yesterday morning in West Melbourne a 12 and 15 year old boy were attacked by a group of masked teenagers/adolescents. They were hacked at with knives and machetes… those two kids are dead now

It’s gang related crime, except it looks like this was a case of mistaken identity and the kids killed likely had nothing to do with gang crime. Imagine being the parent of a healthy twelve year old only to receive a call that child was hacked and stabbed to death despite having nothing to do with gang crime… TWELVE YEARS OLD! How does a parent ever get over something like that? Healthy kid, not depressed, no criminality… dead for no reason…

Victoria responds to this shit by banning machetes… but it’s not machetes that is the problem. That’s a knee jerk, nanny state bullshit approach to this issue. The issue is youth gang crime, which is largely coming from certain demographics and children from immigrants families… it’s heinous over representation

You don’t often see kids from Jewish or Vietnamese immigrant families doing shit like this. There is a problem with white on white crime as well in rural areas (Dezi Freeman just shot two cops dead and gravely wounded a third before running off into the bush where he has eluded authorities for 2.5 weeks, he is a sovereign citizen) and meth is a HUGE problem rurally with some areas having use rates of 20%+ which is scary as shit. Aus has the highest rate of meth use and addiction in the world by FAR and it’s causing a lot of psychosis/crime… look up what happened to Calum Von Moger and his brother, this shit is also affecting middle class families, lawyers, doctors etc. it’s really bad here but you don’t see zombies from it… more so high functioning individuals until day seven of no sleep leads to violence and psychotic breakdown.

But at the moment I believe 50% of young people in custody are Sudanese/African… something needs to actually be addressed here… and it’s often Muslim African if I stand corrected.

A LOT of the violence here is from Muslim immigration. I recently went to court to support a muslim friend of mine who had been shafted on an illicit tobacco charge

Having well dressed, supportive friends helps with the presentation of the person being charged. Her charges were dropped (being a very good looking woman likely helped given it was a jailable amount she was found with) and while I was at the courtroom looking at the roster like 95% of those presenting to court has Muslim last names… no joke… I’m dead serious.

Muslims teaming up with leftists to take over government and society. What could possibly go wrong?

Almost every Muslim politician of prominence in Maine is connected to some really shady nonprofits, but that’s true for almost all Democrats, too. If you have a problem with a guy who collected over 20 million in Mainecare payments funding a private militia in a bid for Jubaland’s presidency, you obviously need to hire Blackgirlinmaine to explain why that makes you racist.

In Trump news, he’s setting off all kinds of bombs in this term. As someone who is generally pro vaccine but also believes there may be truth to the idea that there may be links to increasing levels of developmental disorders, etc, this is something that needs some unpolitical science.

About half of my nieces and nephews are on the spectrum, and none of my family born in the 20th century was. Something is up, and after the COVID vaccine debacle, my skepticism in The Science ™ is at an all-time high.

I think RFK Jr was and is a great fit for the job. He’s always challenged narratives no matter which political party advances them.

Lol.

What do you find laughable about that?

I would like to know as well.

Considering my mother is highly published across the globe, holds a MD, and PhD in micro and thinks he was a good pick and agrees with most of his initiatives lol…

I was actually saddened a bit. I liked knowing that dietary bro-science was at least ten times as healthy as any of the FDA recommended diet guidelines since the 1960’s.

It seemed obvious that the FDA hidden goal was to perpetuate the reactive medical business by adding ever expanding numbers of patients who had eaten themselves unhealthy and would continue to do so.

I had argued with Castoli what seemed endless that the buyer is the one obligated to make healthy food choices. No one is making anyone buy these unhealthy food choices. He blamed the FDA and capitalism.

Enter RFK Jr to change the focus to proactive diet choices. Way to spoil my party. On the plus side there are many people too weak to make the commitment to eat healthy.

Yeah it’s kind of like when you listened to a band before they got really popular.

I remember looking at all of the vitamin levels on my Captain Crunch box as a kid, confident that everything I could possibly need was included in this wonderful food located at the base of the food pyramid. My parents would let us eat cereal at any time, but made sure to limit us each to two eggs max per breakfast meal. More would have been dangerous.
