My only point is that though I liked the 1950’s and much of the 1960’s, I clearly know that the black communities did not have the opportunities.

This phenomenon is quite common and quite human. But it’s partly behind of most atrocities in the world’s history.
People are worried about too much empathy, but hate is the strongest of them all.

Hate has formed the basis for every form of socialism, which today hides behind a faint shroud of empathy. Socialism requires an out-group to extract wealth from, and the intellectual class has been hard at work rewriting history to give people permission to feel good about participating in socialist revolution.
We can easily see it all around us if we look. Calling American Republicans and Trump voters “fascist” and “Nazi” is the most obvious example, but so is the idea that America is fundamentally racist and thus needs a Democratic Socialist revolution.
Maine has never had any form of racial discrimination in its entire history, but you wouldn’t know that if you read The City of Lewiston’s website. No author is listed, but I suspect it was written by an African immigrant who was Lewiston’s DEI coordinator until they changed her title to Workforce Development Coordinator. Her sister lacks a high school diploma and is Lewiston’s economic development coordinator.
In a deeply ironic twist, Maine Democrats achieved the Maine KKKs only stated political goal of 100 years ago when they cut state funding to sectarian schools in 2022. Not a peep from any DEI coordinators on that one.
Boomers are probably the most successfully propagandized people in American history. Probably the most corrupt political generation, too, which is why so many dinosaurs are still holding office when their districts get worse and worse.
My aunt and uncle are retired physicians, obviously quite bright, and they still believe what they watch on CNN.

In more local news, an illegal immigrant from Angola hopped the curb and killed a 58 year old woman with his vehicle in Lewiston last Friday at Kennedy Park, which is like a 20 mph zone with construction going on right now.
Local mainstream news all described him as a 31 year old man with a learner’s permit.
People on social media say he hit her and then backed over her again, but that’s not confirmed yet.
He is currently in ICE custody awaiting deportation, exactly like Hitler’s Gestapo would do.

Similar to our Maine elections that technically require US Citizenship, Maine law technically requires it or legal residency to get a driver’s license.
Democrats just skirt the law in both cases by never bothering to actually check if someone is lying, then gaslight the population through the corrupt local media.
This is weeks after it was discovered that a Jamaican on an expired tourist visa became a police officer in Maine.
You should see how much of the wealth they own compared to other generations.
I don’t think boomers are bad, just stupid and shamelessly selfish.
In some cases, that means having it better than your parents and your kids.
But no, not bad intent.

I wouldn’t assume this means most boomers are wealthy. Yeah, they own a lot of the wealth, but how is it distributed among them? A lot of boomers are struggling or will struggle in retirement. When you look at a stat like median net worth, they aren’t doing as well as many people seem to think. I wouldn’t want to retire right now, with the median boomer net worth.
Things like average income and average net worth are also often misleading. The average American is killing it (north of a million for average household net worth). That doesn’t represent how most people are doing, and the median tells a different story (the median household net worth is roughly $200K).
I really couldn’t give 2 shits about what he’s wearing. At least it isn’t a CCCP shirt, right?

Many also took a hands-off, laisez faire approach to child raising, actually didn’t give a shit about it. Some people have said the reason for this, is because they were not aware of the huge cultural changes that took place from the late 80s to the 90s, so they were innocently ignorant.
The more astute amongst my friends and family members recognize that it was not that they didn’t care because they were unaware. They were unaware because they didn’t care! If they cared, they would have known, in the way that we know what is going on and what will go on with our kids.
I’m convinced some boomer men only had kids because their wives wanted them and if they had no gone through with having them, they wouldn’t have access to sex.
The silver lining I’ve seen is that the fathers I see around today, are men who actually want to be fathers and are highly dedicated to their kids.

Back to Boomers, it is hard to compare the relative earning power between 1980 and today, even with the high interest rates of the time. My parents were both boomers, dad born in 1947 and mom in 1949. Dad never finished high school and mom eventually got an associates in nursing. They raised 3 kids and, while we were all still minors, purchased a second home, a lakefront house 2 hours away for $33,000 in 1991. Granted it was a 1970’s mobile home, but it was well-maintained and actually had a lot of charm.
A unit in the same mobile home park recently sold for $378,000.
Similarly, my childhood home cost my parents about $40,000 to build in 1983 or so, and it recently sold for $365,000.
I make quite a bit more money than either of my parents, but not 10 times as much and not enough to afford a second lakefront home, especially in Maine. The population has been being systematically squeezed for many decades, and there’s still plenty of juice left that crooked politicians are going to come after.
I purchased my first property in 2000 after saving up for one year to have a $5,000 downpayment. It was a very nice condominium in Macungie, PA. 3BR, 2 full baths, vaulted ceilings, very modern, all for $105,000.

I’d argue that what’s happening isn’t men somehow being discriminated against, but rather the next stage of human evolution.
The shitty men and incels are being weeded out when women can be independant and choose.
It should be noted that the Silent Generation is the first generation to get a second shot at raising their children when they found themselves raising their grandchildren in too many cases. The trend seems attractive to all the subsequent generations too.

But I’m not going to involve myself to this topic anymore. Elite/alpha men is just an utopistic consept. It’s the workers paradise all over again.
There’s definitely things to criticise in modern dating culture, and the birth rates are dropping. But I see no simple solutions. And maybe smaller human population is not only terrible as an idea, it just causes major changes in societies.

I didn’t easily attract females at a young age, partly from not being able to read body language or flirtation, partly from poor self image and poor life skills, and partly because a few females that made it explictly known they wanted me had “boyfriends” (most females who were not homely did). My close friend, another with the same issues, who is very good looking, tall, kind and intelligent didn’t do the deed until 21.
By defintion we were incels in the 90’s and early 2000s, before the term came to be.

Perhaps my observation is biased. I specifically observed and knew parents from the latchkey-kid 90s in NYC. Actually some of the good men/fathers on this board would flip if they were to find out if their own children were involved in some activities I have in mind, especially serious transgressions upon their young daughters that I have mentioned previously.
In a converation with my uncle, we spoke of the numerous people that came to mind who died of drug overdoses or reckless activity, or are in poor health now, he responded, “Their dads didn’t give a shit about them; so they died. If you don’t water a plant, it dies. Simple.”
But these were only for the ”elite”. And by elite I mean people with upper birtrights abd wealth. +90% of population were monogamous. And incels were present then too.
