What makes Musk a genius?
Honestly interested? He’s certainly succesfull and innovative. Probably mot dumb either. But genius?
Purchasing twitter and unleashing X on the planet is at the top of his accomplishment list for me. He’s also demonstrated a great nose for talent in his other businesses.
I actually out-scored Musk by 10 points on the last SAT test I took in my Jr. year of high school, and I’m not a genius. I’m merely “bright”, if those scores are any indication.
He’s no dummy, that much is certain.
Do any of you know what is generally considered genius? It sure falls short of rare as hen’s teeth.
Speaking IQ numbers, most accepted IQ numbers that represent genius intelligence is either 135 or 140 IQ, or numbers in that general area. If you are familiar with the associated percent of the population for those respective IQ’s you would know that genius is not extremely rare.

The top 0.4% is 140 IQ (Z-score = 2.67)
But I suppose each can pick the IQ number that they decide must be to be considered a genius.

Von Neumann was a genius with estimated IQ of 190. Musk? I doubt.
Ps. It’s not super rare, but it’s also common false assumption to think someone succesful or someone who does right strategic decisions is extremely intelligent.
An IQ of 190 is certainly genius, but that doesn’t mean that Musk isn’t of genius intelligence.
Once Musk orchestrated a group of geniuses to snatch a falling rocket booster out of the air, the argument is over. If Musk’s only contribution was orchestrating those egg heads to pull off the feat, that alone is genius.

Luckily, you don’t need to be a genius to understand that NPR is state propaganda. This audio is from Maine Public Radio, specifically catering to emotional midwits desperate for their unhinged and hyperbolic worldview to be validated. They congratulate each other for their ignorance.
