Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

Having read everything Tolkien published, including LOTR at least five times, I think I’m right on the money with the comparison.

I predicted at the beginning of this thread that Trump will be remembered as one of the greatest Presidents in history, and so far he seems to be on-track with his policy actions and legislative wins. On top of that, DOGE types are explaining the nonprofit web in ways that weren’t really possible without AI to assist with the monumental task of understanding the public money laundering that’s been going on for a LONG time.

Of course, people are still free to listen to CNN, NPR, or whatever news sources they like which simply do not cover the most important stories, or do it very deceptively when they do. That whole machine is running out of gas by both losing audience and losing all of the public money that was laundered to it. See the ridiculous cries of Colbert’s cancellation as some kind of state clampdown on the media as recent evidence for that.

This will become clearer as time goes on because we get to see the alternative playing out in the UK, Canada, and other parts of the west, where the state is tightening its grip on the population in ways I never expected to see, and mass migration continues.

We dodged an incredibly dangerous bullet, both literally and figuratively. Gondor has been under the rule of lesser men for a very, very long time in a corrupt system that was rigged against Gondorians.

Case-in-point. ANYONE can vote in a Maine election as long as they fill out the voter registration affidavit correctly. There are no mechanisms to stop a Jamaican tourist from voting in a Maine election, or becoming a police officer, for that matter.

This harpy is our Secretary of State and a candidate for Governor of Maine, telling us all with a straight face that our elections are “secure”.

I agree 100%; because I’m not just not racist, but anti-racist.

Okay but on July 7, 2025, the DOJ and FBI issued a memo stating that no further release of Epstein-related files was warranted, citing the privacy of victims and the lack of evidence of a “client list” or blackmail schemes.

This decision effectively closed the door on additional investigations into Epstein’s financial dealings.

You think that removing congressional teeth to an investigation makes it more likely we will see justice served? Is that what you are saying?

Was Epstein an Isreali opperative who set up, entrapped and blackmailed unknowing prominant people?

Or a pimp who sold underage girls to people who knew exactly what they were paying for? Just for money, without the foriegn influence/Isreali blackmail angle.

And if people mentioned in the files didnt know the underage girls were in fact underage, should they be punished?

I’m saying I don’t know, and neither does anyone on the outside. Maxwell offered testimony yesterday, so clearly things are still moving in the broader case. As you know, the President is also commander-in-chief, responsible for the nation’s security. If even half of what we suspect about Epstein is true, this is firmly a national security matter.

It is also worth noting that the Trump administration has been working very methodically since being sworn in, and are presently making the case for treason/sedition by Obama and his cohort, who many of the public still perceives as “scandal-free” and considers a beloved leader. Unlike the entire Russian collusion hoax we watched play out on TV, this administration seems to be bringing receipts, not fabricating evidence out of thin air.

They are unwinding an incredible amount of policy and defunding the soft power regime change machine that’s been used around the globe to destabilize governments and was also turned on ourselves. We all lived through it, and just like in other countries where it has been used, it has generated people who deeply believe in all of the propaganda they have been fed.

I believe it is possible that Epstein was a lynchpin in that entire machine here in the USA. If true, it would make a lot of sense to not make those details public while the case against Obama, et al is made.

I think that is a likely possibility. He was a former teacher turned financier, worth hundreds of millions. How many other people have a story like that?

Lol.

Can it be both?

Isreali opperative who set up, entrapped and blackmailed unknowing prominant people.
Also
A pimp who sold underage girls to people who knew exactly what they were paying for.

Maxwell’s father was a prominent figure in Mossad, FWIW.

Out of curiosity, where do you get your information about the political world?

It makes sense why I seem to occupy a different reality about politics in Maine because I’m pretty familiar with all of the sources covering it. A person can get a wildly different impression of events if they believe anything from Maine’s mainstream media than I do by directly observing government proceedings and obtaining public records through FOAA.

What makes you believe that the documentation presented so far is laughable?

From this guy, obviously.

But in all seriousness, that is a good question that I want to give a thoughtful response to. I have some free time tomorrow, so I’ll sit down and write a non-snarky response.

I love the idea that somebody gathered up all these damning, self-incriminating documents and put them all together in one nice basket.

Then specially marked them to be destroyed, to eliminate the evidence conceal their crime.

And then just said, “awww fuck it” and left that stuff laying around for the nect guy to find.

It’s like the equavlant of the stick-up man falling asleep in the getaway car.

I suspect you have been getting your information about politics from the Mouth of Sauron, but not from his emissary who is MEANT to be foul and intimidating.

Sauron lost the ability to assume his fair appearance by the time of LOTR. He was previously known by the elves as Annatar, a bringer of gifts. After being dispossessed of the One Ring by Isildur on the slopes of Mount Doom, then driven from Dol Guldur by The White Council, his appearance was never described in the Lord of the Rings by Tolkien, but all of his minions were extremely foul at that time.

Even in Sauron’s form that Tolkien only ever describes as a metaphorical eye, a force of will, a dreadful feeling, a malevolent presence, The Enemy was still able to deceive through proxies. He convinced Denethor, who the fake news media said was a wonderful Steward of Gondor, that the defense of Gondor was not a priority. He corrupted Saruman The White, greatest of the five wizards sent to Middle Earth by the Valar. Saruman then corrupted Grima Wormtongue, who then corrupted and crippled Theoden with his lies and subtle sorcery.

Sauron was a beloved and charismatic figure when he won Celebrimbor’s trust as Annatar with false words and fair appearance. He did this to learn Celebrimbor’s secrets of ring making, so he could become more powerful and dominate Middle Earth. Galadriel saw through it, but few others did.

Trump is the most hated President since Lincoln, and that’s no coincidence. The nonprofit blob is FAR more lucrative than slavery ever was.

It is entirely possible that someone intercepted classified documents intended for destruction, then stashed them in the last place anyone would look.

The great thing about X is its open-source nature. If there’s someone with the goods on why something is bullshit, it will get picked up and amplified. It’s no wonder Democrats wanted to control all social media, along with corrupt members of the blob like my “independent” Senator Angus King, who gave twitter a freaking list of people to ban.

Burn bags.

Thank god for bureaucratic inertia (just this once) and an entire workforce that could be synopsized with the saying “Not My Fucking Job.”. Or "what are they gonna do, fire me? ".

This is why Democrats are circling their wagons in states like Maine and California, blocking voter ID and attracting as many migrants as possible. That’s not as easy with the national border secured and the mass migration machine being defunded, but they can still attract them from other states.

It’s over for them, barring some massive scandal, and even that might not be enough. It is my belief that Maine flips red with voter ID, probably for a few generations unless a new political party emerges or advances in medicine dramatically prolong the lives of Baby Boomers.

Nice!

Don’t believe the pollsters. Until they say something you like.

This aligns with other polls and it also aligns with Maine’s student mock election, which Trump won by 11 points over Harris.

The mock election is particularly interesting to me because of how heavily indoctrinated the student population was, plus the massive number of migrants in our school system. Lewiston is one of the largest school systems and our student body is roughly 1/3 non English speaking. Portland and other large (by Maine standards) districts have a similar composition.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Shenna Bellows tried to rig the mock election somehow, but that is actually harder to rig than the real election. Student population numbers are well known, and you can’t just introduce more ineligible voters.

I couldn’t have said it better.

My creds: long time listener to Rush Limbaugh back in the day and reader of one his books; many years subscribed to National Review and read it cover to cover (father subscribed my infant son, and I read everything in my periphery), returned to National Review when Trump was elected the first time; subscribed to Twitter in 2015 in order to read for myself Trump’s posts rather than have them parsed for me and am following traditional republicans (so primarily anti-Trump classical conservatives); occasional listener to Rogan podcast, have listened to Trump and Musk episodes; have satellite radio in the car and surf between MSNBC, CNN, and Fox news regularly. In January read Hillbilly Elegy and watched season 1 of The Apprentice.

And I echo that “lol.”

Edit: I forgot to talk about my left-leaning sources. NY Times daily briefing email (was subscribed for a bit 2020-2012); 1440 daily news roundup; subscribed to The Atlantic because @DoesTheHeavyLifting kept posting articles I liked; have very recently taken to reading Heather Cox Richardson’s recaps; and will watch Jon Stewart occasionally on youtube.

I should also add that I read most of the articles posted here and generally anywhere I encounter anything interesting or thought-provoking.

I never listened to Rush or much establishment conservative media. The closest would be when I was listening to Daily Wire podcasts on my commute, then stopped when they became predictable and repetitive. You would basically get the same news from Knowles, Shapiro, and Walsh, just presented differently, and they didn’t really do much journalism. It was more their take on the news every day, which I don’t need someone to do for me.

I actually consume more leftwing media than right these days, including HCR’s admirable attempts to make modern Democrats seem like a rational group of statesmen. She’s a good writer with a terrible track record of prediction and analysis. I think it is hilarious how she’s putting trigger warnings on her posts nowadays after telling her readers that Trump is a fascist dictator in waiting.

Even more hilarious is how she categorizes herself as a “Lincoln Republican” while doing things like disparaging Vance’s completely on-the-nose remarks at the Munich conference while defending European censorship as a “value”.

She rarely writes about all of the Democrats remarkable successes right here in Maine, for some reason. I would love to hear her explain the present condition of Lewiston or Portland.

Lately I’ve been paying close attention to independent journalist Matt Taibbi on X, whose reputation and credentials are pretty impeccable. His post this morning got my attention. All it said was “incoming”, and shortly afterwards some significant documentation has been released.

If I compare what is unfolding today to the entire Russian Collusion hoax, where no receipts were ever presented to the public as any kind of proof, it is night-and-day levels of difference.

Jon Stewart is just sad these days.

NeverTrumpers aren’t “classical conservatives” by any stretch. The ones I’ve observed are either upset that their relevance is diminishing and/or beneficiaries of the corrupt blob of NGO’s, government bureaucracy, and intertwined corporate interests.

Besides Taibbi, suggested sources for the unfolding Obama/Clinton sedition scandal would be Mike Benz and Mike Flynn, who have insight into how the state department actually operates.

Anyway, more info was released this morning than in all the years the public was told, repeatedly, by every source you just mentioned that, “the walls are closing in on Trump”. I think you should seriously consider the possibility that you’ve been being deceived and manipulated by the legacy media. Similarly, I can easily find deception in nearly every post Richardson makes. It took about 10 seconds when I just popped over to her most recent post.

“And yet six months into the second Trump administration, on the sixtieth anniversary of the law that symbolized the modern American state by establishing Medicare and Medicaid, it’s clear we are indeed in a revolution designed to destroy the government we have known in favor of the radical right-wing government envisioned by those who wrote Project 2025.”

From the beginning, the administration declared war on the words that protected equal rights for all Americans, fired women and racial minorities from leadership positions, and attacked transgender Americans.

She is quite adept at framing her arguments in this sort of deceptive way. As an historian, she knows quite well that what Trump is engaging in is a counter-revolution, not a revolution. The revolution was the introduction of DEI and transgenderism into public policy, which completely reshaped how government functioned.

I also suspect she knows very well that Trump isn’t in any way fascist, let alone similar to a National Socialist, but she may not be due to her specialty in 19th Century American history.

I don’t understand how any serious historian could read modern academic literature like Hitler’s National Socialism or Hitler’s Beneficiaries and come to the conclusion that Trump, MAGA, or the Republican party bears even the slightest resemblance to National Socialism or Hitler himself.

Richardson’s perspective is a lot easier to understand when you realize how lucrative it can be to leverage your academic credentials and writing skills to disparage Trump. Her massive audience has made her the highest earning author on substack, who eagerly eat up her wildly speculative takes that validate all of the hysteria of the last decade.

For a good example of the actual slow Socialist revolution here in Maine that Trump is mounting a counter-revolution against, I refer you to The Maine Civil Rights Team project.

Hilariously, all of the links on the right of this page are now broken, taking you to 404 not page not found errors except for the last one, which correctly takes you to the ADA webpage.

Notice the language used by Attorney General Frey, urging teachers and students to frame civil rights discussions by race, gender identity, religion, etc.

@EmilyQ You’re old enough to have learned that civil rights in the USA haven’t been dependent on ANY of those things since the 1960’s, when the Democrat ideas of Jim Crow and segregation were purged at the state level by the federal government in Republican-led efforts.

And here we are again, with Democrats stubbornly trying to keep their race-based worldview alive in an effort to cling to power.
