Yeah. The one where one two oligarchs and their whole family was found dead was after assault on Ukraine had started was a rough one.
Probably they had bussinesses in the west and they were opposing the war.
But it’s not only officials and oligarchs. Journalists, opposition politicians etc. are also on the line.
Luckily Putin is not a bad man and would never do such a thing.

I’m still leaning towards this being political theater. These are two exceptionally smart guys who were best buddies the other day. Musk knows full well that the entire media ecosystem that lives on Trump coverage is going to eat this up, probably for a long time.
Trump probably does appear in the Epstein files in some shape or form, as he has been a prominent public figure for my whole life and Epstein made a point to associate with prominent public figures.
Whether he’s “in the files” or “IN THE FILES” remains to be seen, which hopefully we someday might.
Hopefully WW3 doesn’t kick off at the same time, if it hasn’t already.
I am amused by the idea of a bunch of MAGA people showing up to this to stand arm-in-arm with elderly Democrats and purple haired creatures with nose rings, united by their hatred of Elon Musk.

Meaning Trump and Musk agreed to have this public dispute with another goal in mind, knowing full well that it will create a media feeding frenzy. It might be a ploy to get massive pressure to release the Epstein files, because now Trump’s enemies believe it will implicate Trump in wrongdoing.
It’s a weird situation no matter what’s actually going on behind the scenes, that’s for sure.
It could also be genuine and Trump is another swamp creature, but none of his actions to this point have given me that impression.

They didn’t agree to anything. Trump used Elon for his money and influence, which at the beginning people were excited about. He promised to drain the swamp and cut bloated government spending, something all incoming politicians/parties in power claim they will do. The difference this time was that it came from an outsider, Elon and DOGE.
Elon uncovered a lot of corruption but only crumbs were allowed to be cut, and none of those cuts have actually gone through. There were no reductions in military spending or in deep state industries. Instead, the cuts targeted BS like forest rangers.
Now, the new bill is adding even more money to the military and deep state agencies. The overall spending will be higher than the cuts, which again have not really happened. Trump and/or his administration are being controlled by neocons, the deep state, a foreign country/agency, and AIPAC owned politicians. Rand Paul and Thomas Massie are the only ones really speaking out about it. Elon is mad about it and taking it to X. The guy put his reputation/business/money on the line and took most of the shit from the people.
Or maybe it is theatre…

The thing that makes me suspect it may be theater is the wording. Elon could be technically correct and there could also be no evidence of wrongdoing by Trump in the files.

He is. Trumps name was found on his flight logs, but Epstein had a luxury plane leasing business, so thats not really a surprise.
That was found when ever those were released, in Trumps first term. But in news cycle time, that might as well have been 5000 years ago.
If I understand it correctly, the only thing that is really really bad that will destroy people is the evidence having to do with Epstein island activity.
Musk’s stocks are taking a hit today because of all of this. I don’t think it’s theater. But I do think they could kiss and make up at any time.
