Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

I can only speak for myself, but that is what I was hoping for when I voted for him.

Did a quick googleing. Found this:

Studies have shown that 40 million foreign born residents live in the US, while 11.7 million of that population is illegal.

US is of course wayyyy stronger than Russia and could crush it without the nukes. But I agree. Putin does not fear (or even thinks highly of) Trump, anymore than he feared (or thought highly of) Biden.

??

Those are foreign born residents. They are of age.

Oh, yes they are. Quick Googleing as I said.

Do you truly believe Biden was fully aware of his immediate surroundings, let alone geopolitics? Did you watch the debate?

He wasn’t capable of most adult tasks, which is why he was an ideal figurehead for all of the radical policies implemented during his administration.

Trump seems to be facilitating peace talks, which seems better than slow walking us into WW3, or whatever the people who programmed Biden’s teleprompter were trying to do with the slow trickle that fed the worst meat grinder in Europe since Stalingrad.

All while Europeans ask us to fund Ukraine while they fund Russia with their energy purchases. That war might be the most corrupt racket with the fewest beneficiaries per life lost or shattered in all of history.

What is particularly hilarious to me is that my city and state level local politicians have all kinds of things to say about Trump, Ukraine, and calling Mainers fascists, but nothing to say about the conditions their policies have created right here in Maine.

Maine Democrats act like they are a #resistance movement, not the people who have dominated Maine politics for the last six years.

There were three shootings in Lewiston last week, about as many as the first five years I lived here. One of Lewiston’s reps to Augusta, Mana Abdi, is introducing legislation to decriminalize cocaine dealing.

She also endorsed this local business the day before the Maine DEA arrested the guy for dealing cocaine out of his store.

Do you dutifully don your ear diaper every time you bring this up? News flash, no one gives a shit that trump got grazed in the ear. Which is to say, it has literally zero effect on how anyone in the world interacts with trump politically. As mentioned above, US Trump supporters dont appear to have figured that out yet, but his big tough guy attitude doesnt work anywhere outside the red stronghold he has here in the states. Hes a laughing stock the world over, getting shot in the ear didnt change that.

Or maybe Xi and Putin just dont know about it??? You should spend a few of the minutes you have fighting Woke in Maine to send them a message and let them know how big and strong he is.

I do think getting shot perhaps gave him a new appreciation for his mortality and time left and could have super charged his Trumpi-ness with Trump 2.0, but as far as him not being a chump? It doesnt change that at all.

Lets do an experiment and see if you can understand the my POV. If there was an attempt on Bidens life and he continued to run for office, how would that change your opinion of him? Lets try and stick to the hypothetical and not veer off into any “he would never do that”, or heaven forbid a news clipping from Lewiston.

I did watch the debates. I saw a really old guy mostly have it together with some stellar gaffes. Just like his more than hour long presser the following day. He made some notable and laughable gaffes, but by and large he was together and answering questions. Clearly demonstrating that not only was he fully capable of doing adult tasks, he did know what was going on and did have a sense of geopolitics. Did you watch it?

Theres no doubt about it, Biden was and is old, really old, Trump was of a simliar age but presents much less so and has much more vigor about him. Unfortunately, underneath the youthful glow of spray on tan, his brain is mush and he cant help but have terrible ideas and execution of those ideas, but yes he presents those terrible ideas with great gusto and vigor that Joe Biden cannot match. I cant deny that

However, The kernel of truth that Biden was old and suffering from the normal decline that comes from age turned into him being a drooling, blithering invalid incapable of forming a coherent though or feeding himself, but the truth was quite a bit away from that. I actually agree with Trumps assessment here, Biden was a Bad 78 and Trump is a good 78 in terms of how they are aging, but Biden wasnt some demented, unaware meat bag.

Outside of those two things I have lost interest in following the local politics of Maine, so I have no comment on the rest of your post that had nothing to do with the content of my post (which is largely that the power and strength Trump projects here in the states that his base accepts as gospel falls apart at the faintest challenge in the real world. Putin is not afraid of trump, Xi is not afraid of trump, Canada is not afraid of Trump, and no one seems to care in the slightest that he got shot in the ear and kept running for office to stay out of prison).

Shipping from China to the US in down 30% since last week, and like 40% from this time last year.

How long will it take for Xi and the Chinese to feel the effects of that drop in exports? Last year it was a mess when incoming goods jammed up our ports.

What will the impact to China be when their ports fill up with unsold outgoing goods? How much will it “hurt”?

Of course it changed that. It changed everything, including history, in addition to making him immune to being called a chump. He did what every man wishes he would do if the same thing happened to him. It was also a culmination of history’s most comprehensive smear campaign that most Americans were thankfully able to see through. I agree with my friend who is former USSS, including doing opposition candidate details. Inside help or the most incompetent USSS operation ever.

It would seem to me that he’s getting a lot of nations to come to the negotiating table through his tariffs. That seems like a good step to me.

I love how explaining local politics in a Democrat dominated jursidiction bothers so many people. As if I should pretend what is happening around me is somehow disconnected from the topic of Trump.

There was another shooting yesterday I wasn’t counting in my previous post. I just heard about it a few minutes ago. They are so common now I literally can’t keep track of them.

It is no coincidence that there wasn’t an attempt on his life.

If he got shot in the ear and responded like Trump, it would earn my respect, but not my vote. Trump just happened to give the perfect reaction in an unbelievable moment of personal danger.

I did, and I wonder how you and I perceived Biden’s mental state completely differently. The DNC obviously saw it more like I did, which is how “Our Democracy” happened, with a new ticket nobody voted on. That’s how Harris, who was the least-popular primary candidate in 2020, gets on a Presidential ticket. “Our Democracy” all right.

It absolutely does have everything to do with it, as you all seem to be exhibiting TDS and an unwillingness to acknowledge that the polices they advocate for have absolutely upended where so many of us live, saddling us with impossible burdens, all in a cynical effort to import a new voting base using public funds.

They cannot defend their own policies, they can only call their opponents fascists, racists, bigoted, and ignorant.

If push comes to shove with the whole idea of a trade war, China loses every time.

The USA is still the most autarkic nation on the planet, thanks to geography. A trade war would hurt everyone if deals aren’t reached, but it would hurt China so much worse. The USA is the greatest treasure in history, more insulated from sanctions and less dependent on imports than anyone else for the really important stuff. We could spin up a lot of the production right here in a short amount of time, if foreign supply suddenly gets cut off. Not for everything right away, just for most critical things like medicine. Food is already covered. Fuel, no problem. Raw materials can be smuggled the same way they were to build the SR 71 Blackbird, when we lacked the titanium.

That’s why I think a lot of deals are going to be reached, and it will likely be a net benefit to the USA over the medium and long term.

What did it change in actual, real world results? Forget “everything”, Did a single thing actually change because trump had an assassination attempt against him? Did anyone in the world (outside of his base maybe buying some gauze and tape to make their little ear diaper displays of loyalty) change their behavior or do something they werent going to do because he got shot in the ear?

In so far as “history” is a collection of things that happened in the past, sure it changed history. What it didnt do is cause anyone to treat him differently or more favorably, which is what I mean when I say no one cares. I dont imagine Xi or Putin going to a strategy meeting and saying “You know, we were going to do X but since trump got shot we are actually going to give him more favorable terms now.” Its a completely laughable idea.

As far as his chump immunity, I still call him a chump and see him as one, so it didnt change that, nor did it make him immune to it. Hes the same self-described whiny, cry baby bitch hes been for 10 years. Again, just because he has 1/3 of the country hanging on his every word doesnt mean the rest of the world is

Well, Trump wasn’t shot dead, so there’s that. One of the most iconic photos in history got to accompany the rest of his campaign, so there’s also that. Now that he’s not dead, he’s the President of the USA. I’d say it was a pretty impactful event.

That’s a curious clip to post, as it is exactly what I’m doing with my elected politicians. I’m whining and whining about the shootings, the needles, the prostitution, the taxes, the diminishing levels of service, the multi-year prosecutor backlog, the funding for enabling drug use but not law enforcement, the rapidly declining state of public education, the lack of election process security, the fact that Portland consumes 80 percent of Maine’s general assistance funds, being called a fascist by the Secretary of State and candidate for governor, the disbursement of funds donated to mass shooting victims to unrelated immigrant and prisoner advocacy nonprofits, penises in women’s spaces, teaching kids about transgenderism, dudes clobbering chicks in sports, the coordinated media gaslighting about major local events, and their ridiculous statements about Ukraine.

In fact, I’m really just getting started with my whining. The alternative is to believe that 2 + 2 = 5, as Democrats seem to want me to do at all levels of government.

You see Russia as an enemy and Ukraine as an ally that must be defended. I do not see things that way. I genuinely do not care if Russia takes over Ukraine. Of course I want the war to stop, but I want all wars to end like most people do. But the fate of Ukraine as a geopolitical entity is not something that I care about. It’s clear that Trump doesn’t care about Ukraine either. That’s the point.

Many continue to see Putin as some sort of modern “Hitler”. This is nonsensical. Russia is not a democracy in the western, liberal sense, but it’s also not a fascist dictatorship. I don’t see Putin as a bad man, and in fact dislike politicians like Macron far more.

When it comes to Trump’s relationship with Putin, it is clear that it is one of mutual respect. Trump is not “rolling over” and giving Putin everything he wants, Trump just agrees with Putin on most things. Outside of the West, many people do. This is why the sanctions against Russia did not cripple their economy. People in the West are in an echo-chamber about this.

Wars happen. The winners get new territory, and the losers have to deal with it. It’s when other nations refuse to focus on their own problems and instead poke their noses into those of other nations, that wars expand and become far more deadly.

Is North Korea a dictatorship? Was Soviet Union a dictatorship?

Out of curiosity. What man needs to do to be considered bad?

Macron is a slimy politician, but at least he does not murder his opponents.

Who do you think tried to kill Trump? A lone 20 year-old with an impeccably clean apartment who was somehow able to evade the United States Secret Service?

Not Macron at least.

If we return to this we’ve learned nothing.

Back to the geopolitical anarchy then?

Saying that Trump sees democracy, civil rights and western culture as disdainful and weak is pretty harsh.

When did geopolitical anarchy ever stop?

Yeah.

Well… there are still people around who claim that Stalin was a great leader and not a bad man.

This whole mess with Ukraine aside - Putin is a monster.

At least it has been slightly more controlled. But you’re right, it will never stop. At some day the nukes will fly.
