That’s why the number is so high!
When does the countdown start? Now or when he’s sworn in?
Can someone brief me on project 2025? I looked into it and I won’t be buying the book. I seem to recall a PDF floating around that detailed their plans, but I can’t seem to find it. What exactly is it, and is it a serious thing or just some fairy tale stuff? My mom is losing her mind over it because the extent of her research is whatever op-ed piece she sees about it. I feel compelled to understand it further and help guide her understanding as well so she doesn’t go full looney tunes.
I was able to find a 920 page eBook link, but I just don’t have the time to invest there. Every video I’ve seen is very clearly biased so that’s not helpful either.
Edit: This may warrant its own thread, but I feel it’s directly linked to this election result so it seems to be a good fit here.
It’s white people shit. And it just goes to show that the right is as anti Western culture/civilization as the left.
Impeach impeach impeach
I feel like it would be more sporting to wait until she’s officially sworn in.
But unfortunately the scrutiny and harassment will start immediately, so the clock should too.
And if she was with Trump through three elections, she has to be over 30 so she is aging out.
General background.
I had the same thought.
Must be my bias showing.
Trump admired Berlusconi.
During his last term he implemented tariffs. This time he has campaigned on more tariffs. If we take him at what he said (knowing he has done it before), 10-20% across the board and 60% on China. Do we think he will actually do it? He can do so through executive order it seems, so there isn’t anything to stop him.
It seems most people that have an understanding of economics think this will cause significant inflation. On a side note, if other revenue streams remain consistent (unlikely, if the tariffs are that high), the government will be quite close to a balanced budget (which is something I’d like to see). However, if the policy is implemented and plays out how we should expect it to, it will not be popular. It will also be very easy to see in hindsight what caused the inflation.
Why didn’t Biden remove the tariffs if they were so inflationary
IDK.
Maybe he should have. Inflation is one of the main complaints people had under his presidency.
Thanks for the response dude. I generally try to skip Wikipedia since it’s so easily edited by random people, but a starting point nonetheless.
I’m not sure who the experts are you’re talking about, but have you examined their track record of Trump-related predictions over the last decade or so?
I keep running into people who call themselves experts, but if you go back and listen to their predictions, they were simultaneously 100 percent confident in them and 100 percent wrong.
Which experts are making this prediction?
Maybe they are not as inflationary as everyone thinks
These people are legit unhinged. Absolutely pathetic.
1.4% when he left office
It is mind-numbing to see how many on the left are throwing hissy fits and STILL calling people racist, fascist, and misogynistic rather than looking at why people really rejected Harris. It wasn’t because she a woman or Black/Indian. It was 100% a rejection of far-left progressive policies.
Trump used a lot of the threat of tariffs to negotiate better trade deals. Maybe he was bluffing, maybe he wasn’t. But most of the threats didn’t actually happen, and Biden clearly thought the ones that did were a good idea.
