Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

Proved my point again.

Post evidence of these murders in Donbas. You’re repeating Russian propaganda. You also ignore the killing of civilians by Russians. You’re either a Russian shill or a twisted weirdo who believes the (unproven) killing of civilians by one nation justifies the killing of civilians by another. And if that’s the case, wouldn’t the Russians have evened up the score by now?

Maine is going to be a well-studied example in Democratic Socialism. This demonstration is in support of Maine Democrats who just unanimously voted to censure Maine’s most popular and powerful representative, Laurel Libby. She can no longer speak or vote and the people of Auburn are now taxed without representation.

All for taking a stand on the trans athlete issue, accusing her of basically doxxing a minor by sharing newspaper articles.

Maine is starting to line itself up, and it isn’t looking good for the Socialists. I’m not sure there are enough ineligible voters in the entire state to stop Voter ID.

This was never an organic movement. It was all set up and paid for with our own tax money. It was done to us. Now, without the money, I’d be astonished if they get 50 people. It didn’t take them long to turn off the comments. They all turn off the comments.

Living through history is kind of interesting since nobody’s getting violent yet. Just old Indiana Klan tactics from the 1920’s. Those guys actually weren’t that violent either. Their newspaper is all anonymous, basically reddit in print.

I’ve read a few hundred of the posts in here and caught glimpses of more while scrolling.

There has been posting about Ukraine, Europe, Russia, immigration, Trump, Trump’s helpers, Hitler and the National Socialists (they have to be mentioned in lengthy political discussion even though they haven’t existed for 80 years), socialism, the UN, NATO, and Marxism.

Though I do not want any destruction to this world or harm to innocent people (innocent Israelis, Palestinians, Russians, and Ukrainians, for example) and would like to see people get along, all the aforementioned subjects have been put in the “cool stories” file for me. Eg, “Hitler, Putin, Ukraine, Russia, the Middle East? Cool stories pal! Let me know about the here and now and then I’ll talk.”

I am asking sincerely, as I have asked not only republicans, MAGA people, leftists, incidental liberals, and actual liberals: what the hell am I getting out of all this? I asked a fervent Trump fan and friend of my wife’s family last week, while he and a leftist family member of hers were bickering, a few of these questions I have asked several other people of various persuasions, "What am I going to get from this presidency? Is the quality of my and my children’s lives going to be significant affected by it? Am I actually going to feel or experience something different and good? What have I gotten in my life from unfettered legal immigration? Will the fabric of society change for the better? Will the importance stuff (healthcare, college tuition, cost of food, crime rates, quality of education, family formation for young people, family law, etc.) change?”

To sum it up, what will change for ordinary Americans?!

Usually I cannot get answers out of anyone besides something like, “Without immigration you’ll have to buy 25-buck heads of lettuce,” “Under Trump inflation will go down,” bla, bla, bla, which actually is insulting to American society and confirms my thought that it is not serious.

I pose those same questions here sincerely. And because I have for long thought American society isn’t a serious society, I have only voted twice for all my eligible years, since 1997.

This is a good question, so I’ll give you my take.

First off, the border has been closed. People still get in, but NOTHING like under Biden. The scale of that is still unknown to ICE, but it is overall a history-changing win.

Second, funding is rapidly being cut off to the Socialist apparatus that we’ve been funding with tax dollars. This means that their operations are severely hampered, and so are many grifters incomes.

Aside from the tax savings, which won’t materialize in our pockets right away, but should, this is exposing a massive level of corruption, and we’re only six weeks in.

National Socialism is relevant because the core of the Democrats rhetoric at the national level and here in Maine is centered around accusing their opponents of being actual fascists, which is to imply they share Hitler’s broad goals, or something sinister.

This justifies the feedback loop we observe, as well as funded.

Accuse opponents of fascist goals → justify fascist actions by government → justify fascist actions by individuals ->further accuse people who want to stop you of fascism → repeat

If I get out my crystal ball, what I’m seeing in the future is a complete realignment of the political order with a massive shift away from “woke”, which I call Democratic Socialism. I’m seeing broad, sunlit uplands. We took the right fork in the road, historically-speaking.

Make no mistake about it, we were a bullet away from living in a one-party socialist state, which Socialist die hards would insist wasn’t REAL socialism. All while the actual beneficiaries laugh their way to the bank.

We have been the victim of history’s most underhanded and sinister long-term plot, or so it seems to me.

Our real enemies aren’t Russia or China. Hopefully names will be named soon.

In brief summary, woke is dead. Long live the USA.

Nothing much because as you mentioned, there would need to be changes to the fabric of our society. Something you, and others have mentioned, is the decline of marriage and the attack on the nuclear family. I was reading something from the CEO, I think, of Google, where he recommended people work at least 60 hours a week. In a five day work week, that’s twelve hours a day. Imagine a married couple with children with both parents doing that. And this assumes that someone working that much would have the time to meet someone to marry.

My father would work long hours but, my mother didn’t work. You can’t have a society that supports strong nuclear families while prioritizing things like productivity and profit. Women need some incentive to become mothers rather than focus on careers. I work with women who, when I mention my kids, have said they would like to have children. But, they work long days with unpredictable hours and aren’t even in relationships. They were focused on building their careers but in only ten years, they’re in their 30s. They’re always tired, they haven’t taken care of themselves and they’ve, it will sound misogynistic, diminished their value when it comes to a man who has the goal of having a family. Not only that, but as one woman I work with said, although she would like to have a child, she’s in her 40s and doesn’t know if she would have the energy to deal with a kid.

Are we prepared to face the economic consequences and changes necessary to promote the nuclear family? Musk isn’t, as he is unmarried and has over a dozen kids with several different women. The nuclear family as most Americans would know it, isn’t on his radar. These people demand employees put work first. If I look at it through my Christian lens: they promote Godlessness and degeneracy.

And you really didn’t address his questions.

I gave two obvious and very clear examples, the border closing and the dismantling of the most massive graft machine in history. That affects every single American in rather profound ways, and we’re just beginning to understand it.

I didn’t even get into what ordinary Mainers can expect, which is the most significant state vs Federal Showdown in at least 60 years involving potentially billions of dollars, which is also quite real. Maine is a debtor state.

According to you, that’s “nothing much”, same stuff on both sides guy.

Let me guess, none of what I listed is a REAL impact felt by ordinary Americans as a result of Trump’s election.

It is like you and I use the same vocabulary, but different dictionaries.

How? How will it improve public education? Healthcare? Reduce violence in the inner cities? Make having a family something that is affordable to most Americans?

I agree we should stop illegal immigration but how does it profoundly change our lives?

I’ve actually addressed all of those upthread. I’m not going to repeat it to you here so you can tell me what I’m seeing isn’t really real.

Socialists in Maine are presently saying the same stupid crap, which is a real coincidence because you’re not one of those at all. You’re something else, which can’t be put to mere English words in 10 years of posting here.

I’m supposed to believe that deporting illegals will convince women to get married and prioritize having a family? Suddenly, we’ll have proper maternity leave made into law? Kids will suddenly want to learn? Americans will lose weight? They will stop taking drugs?

You seem to be arguing against the zero people in here who claimed Trump will stop Skeeter from knocking up Tanqueray and Destiny at the same time.

I don’t watch reality tv.

I’m saying, the party that claims to support American and Western cultural values, has done nothing and is doing nothing to nurture and promote those values. The feminist/woke/sjw/DEI/CRT movement(s) occurred under their watch.

They are literally dismantling the tax-funded nonprofit constellation that has seen to the promotion of those ideas. It’s happening.

It’s probably the most effective thing they could have possibly done to address the ideas you mention, an elephant in the room, that you are pretending isn’t really real, man.

And replacing it with what?

I am predicting at least attempts at incentivizing nuclear families through tax code changes, probably more. It’s a winning issue.

The culture and society take a long time to adapt, especially after so many decades of paying for activists and academics to tear as much down as possible.

I’m not a socialist, so I don’t expect the government to engineer society. Sensible policy may not fix everyone’s personal problems, but it won’t exacerbate them on purpose any more.

That’s another way of looking at this. We’ve been slamming our own dick in the door first thing in the morning for a long time because “experts” had academic citations tracing a convoluted line of reasoning explaining why this was important for society.

It turns out your whole day gets better when you buck the experts and stop slamming your dick in the door every morning.

The operative word is can. They won’t. It’s bad for business. Does Musk promote, let alone prioritize, family values with his employees? Part of the call to get everyone back in the office is to monitor behaviors. They will see what time you come in and, more importantly, when you leave. It will, because it does, promote an environment where no one wants to be the first to leave.

Luckily, working for an Elon Musk company is optional. You act like his success should disqualify him from being an advisor.

I chose really long hours to be a part of the most complex and successful SAP implementation project in the world. Doing that in my 20s has made earning a living much easier since.

I could’ve kept doing that kind of stuff, making even more money, traveling all over and racking up hotel points, flying miles and credit card rewards.

It’s optional. I might hop back on an implementation project again at some point. I can negotiate expectations going in now.

You seem to have this belief that if only your ideas were tried, people would stop being driven, competitive, and successful.

Of course, you never explain what your ideas are, you just like to shit on people who have ideas of their own.
