There are though. Like, tons of hatians. And honestly, they’re the dirty nasty fucked up ones. Not even actually trying to live with any dignity or self respect.
I know black people who live there. They don’t like them either.

I will say this for the guy, he is an absolute master at media control and/or manipulation depending on how you want to view it
He knows what plays, what doesn’t play, and most importantly he knows image is far more important than the truth (that’s why comedians at his roast werent allowed to joke about his wealth for example, he knew that image of him was too important to even hint at poking fun at). What people think about him is much more important than what a actually true about him because if people think it’s true that’s all he cares about and he can use that to craft reality to a degree
I think he knows these things at both an intellectual level and very deeply at the emotional level, his instincts are tuned for what his image says about him and how people will perceive him, and he knows that perception is reality for lots of people
So you’re going with Agent 007?
More like option 3, he knows people will eat it up and was already very reasonably assured the situation was safe. He was going to be stood up and walked away and took 2 seconds to do this for that reason, and obviously it worked
No ice cold blood in his veins required, i dont think he “thought about it” really, he just knew he had to do it at the emotional level to appeal to his people. although I do admit he took a risk by doing it, although he also put his service members lives at greater risk too, something I don’t think he considered much it at all
When I survey all of the information I’ve acquired in my life, I do not reach the same conclusion you do about Carter’s authenticity compared to Trump’s.
I will admit, the Carter Presidency is a bit foggy to me, as I was only 10 months old at the time. I don’t know about anyone else, but I was feeling pretty optimistic around age 1.
I’m trying to be a helpful bro to you here, but you totally come across like a guy whose never been in any real danger, and has fantasy notions of how violence is all going to go down.
You are going to extraordinary lengths to explain a few seconds - SECONDS - of time between being shot in the ear, not in the head, realizing you’re not dead, but alive, and then pumping your fist in the air while yelling “fight”, like we all wish we’d do when our number gets called in that kind of way.
There’s not really a better reaction he could have given, and there’s not a more dire circumstance he could have given it in.
Mild barfights don’t grant me your powers of mental discernment in the moment. Moderate-to-serious ones didn’t, either. I just hit the go button.
You can’t fake hitting the go button.
Trump hit the go button.
He actually got knocked out of his shoes by the agents taking him down.
Of course, there’s actual footage of it that can be viewed, but what good is that, right?
I don’t take away anything from trump in that moment, he did the thing, you have every right to enjoy it in the way you want to enjoy it
I just don’t think it adds to his “authenticity”, which is something different to me than it is to you from what I have gathered here. Nothing wrong with that, we just have different opinions
So, there’s that.
Then there’s the fact that it was actually The Shooter who was endangering people, not Trump.
.
Not sure I see the connection between those two comments, maybe you can help me out here if there was a discussion point to be had and continued
Well, it would be extraordinary composure (the likes of which could not be gotten with a week of actting training for a debate) for him to have been thinking about manipulating the media and the moment, in that moment.
Video in previous post.
Oh okay, I can agree with that
I don’t particular factor those kinds of things into who I want to be president while other factors are in play (meaning given two very similar candidates ideologically it might factor in, but with two wildly different ideas in the table I don’t give any credence to how one’s reacts to being shot at in that equation), maybe that’s why there’s a disconnect between how I see him and how others see him
Granted, I was watching it live. Missed the shots cuz I got up to get a snack out of the toaster oven.
So clearly, Im a fan.
But who do you want going toe to toe with Putin, Xi, leaders of terror groups like Hammas, Isis, etc?
That Guy, or Kamala?
Bear in mind, those are all people that will wholesale murder as many of us American Citizens as they feel necessary, if they deem it necessary.
I went with him. No questions asked.
My opinion of trump is that hes full of lots of bluster, but ultimately is very manipulatable and is is kind of seen as a buffoon by the rest of the world (granted that’s purely my speculation)
I would much rather be on the other side of the table from him, someone I could flatter or con into a “deal”, possibly by even granting him something personally and not him acting on behalf of the US (a lucrative Chinese golf course deal for example… or a 2 billion deal for his son in law and a handbag deal for his daughter, things that actually happened)
I know his base likes to think of him as this big strong guy acting with a touch of the mad man theory of political discourse that has everyone shaking in their boots, but I don’t think the world sees him that way, and I don’t think it’s wrong to say the world as a whole is shifting away from the US as they are having to deal with him more just in the few short weeks of trump 2.0. Much more likely is a “Trump Tries Weilding a Big Stick… but it hurt itself in the confusion” when it comes to international relations
I mean if everyone in this thread has his negotiating techniques figured out , what makes anyone think xi and Putin dont? Somehow 13 people on T Nation all know what he’s doing and can see right through it but Xi is supposed to be so caught off guard he has no choice but to give trump everything he wants before hes figured it out?
Much more likely is that trump turns large swaths of the world off to working with us - through a combination of his personality, stick based diplomacy (do what I say or I’ll tariff you!), and erosion of trust in the US as a nation of its word via ripping up of contracts from even a few months or years ago, even if he made them - that everyone starts looking elsewhere for international relations.
I’d rather have someone that prepares for a week before shooting off at the mouth and causes china of “eating the dogs” as it were
I understand we disagree but perhaps you can at least see where im coming from, as I do with your POV more now
Yeah, its definitely a matter of different interpretations of the same things.
Have you happened to see his press conferences with Starmer or Macron recently?
Not the news reports of them, the actual footage?
I have seen the macron one, not the starmer, and believe it or not i actual watch (some of) his rallies too. I don’t sit through the full two hours but ive certainly seen hours of them in total over the last few years
Perhaps in search of what makes people view him as so authentic, but for me personally I haven’t found it yet.
Whenever possible I go to the source and form my own opinion on it, and only turn to secondary source stuff for context or knowledge broadening, even if that source is Jesse Waters to see what they are saying about it too
Good. That requires dedication too, cuz I know you’re a pretty busy guy.
It could also be a difference of priorities too. I don’t expect people to have my own. But some will see one person as better at x than the other, and the other worse at y than their choice.
Suffice to say, I dont typically fault people for those differences in a rational discussion.
Like, If I had to point to one quintessential representative of the democratic party, it would be Gavin Newsom. But if I had to point to one I more or less agree with more often than not, it would be Fetterman.
Similarly, quintessential Republican- maybe Paul. Actually understands my lot in life and shared values- JD Vance.
Fellow Americans, please remain on your best behavior for our visitors, and always remember to be on the lookout for Finnish spies, and other spies.
More winning:
President Trump and Secretary Rubio have secured the extradition of 29 top cartel leaders from Mexico to the U.S. for prosecution
This is UNPRECEDENTED.
Raphael Caro Quintero, who m*rdered a DEA Agent was just flown into New York and handed over.
“This is the highest number of extraditions [in one day] in the history of Mexico, without question,” former DEA head of international operations Mike Virgil told CrashOut
The people who think getting shot and shaking it off is no big deal, are 100% guaranteed, the ones that will be pissing in their pants, curled up in a fetal position, with frozen, incapacitated limbs.
