This crap is unnecessary. If a party puts forward a candidate who is liked by a wider range of citizens, he will win the election if it’s by popular vote or electoral vote. As it stands, they try and play a numbers game and focus on swing states and whatever rather than appeal to a broader spectrum. They choose someone to be president of their team rather than the nation.

I have a strong suspicion that the women most vocal about the movement have more and younger experience than average in the same way I have a strong suspicion that those most vocal and critical about “age gap” relationships of old-geezer male celebrities had age gap relationships at ages that would make us cringe.

For more local election anecdotes, I had lunch with a friend who works at a well-known local non-profit. She’s a closet Trump supporter and people at her work seem to be assuming that the entire staff shares their unhinged view of what this election means.
I think she’s got a pretty strong case for a hostile work environment, with members of management openly stating that Trump supporters should be singled out and mistreated. I suggested she record those statements and consult an attorney.
There are a lot of really, really unhinged people in Maine right now who are having a lot of difficulty explaining how reality fits into their worldview.
