Trump 2025 - Resuming The National Nightmare Of Peace And Prosperity (Part 1)

Hegseth Announcement May Have Just Guaranteed Peace With Russia for Decades

It might not be a problem now, but could it lead to problems in the future?

Why should it be? Empires have always existed, and by and large do not affect the United States. Even if Russia reconquered the entirety of Eastern Europe, it would not have any effect on our future. The United States collaborated with the Russian Empire when it existed in the 1800s. The unique threats of Nazism and Communism no longer exist, and it’s time for people to finally accept this. This hysteria is ridiculous.

And then we had the Monroe Doctrine.

Which was the perfect application of Washington’s counsel. His warning about foreign entanglements related largely to Europe, whose convoluted history full of wars and regional rivalries the United States would do best to avoid. It looks like Trump is, thank God, returning to the Monroe Doctrine by telling European nations to defend themselves and finally focusing on the real problems south of our border.

Saying that Russia had good reasons to invade Ukraine is same than to say that Germany had good reasons invading Poland or czechoslovakia in 1930s.

The fact that you and so many other westerners actually believe this makes me thank God once again that Donald Trump is now in power. This is the hysteria that would lead to a third world war, not Putin’s actions.

In 2014 there was a coup of the duly-elected Ukrainian government. Several regions in Ukraine’s east, which were Russian-speaking and largely inhabited by Russians, seceded in response. These were Donetsk and Lugansk. Ukraine had been killing civilians in these regions for 8 years until Russia stepped in and invaded in 2022. Then Russia annexed those regions, which they had been asking Russia to do. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has more parallels to the Mexican-American war than to anything that happened in World War 2.

Moreover, Russia wanted to stop Ukraine from joining NATO, since things seemed to be trending in that direction. Ukraine in NATO would be devastating for Russia. It’s the Russian Cuban Missile Crisis. Thank God Trump understands these things, because the arrogant people who had no sympathy for Russia’s position almost brought us to World War 3.

I didn’t imply I knew what they said to you. I said it didn’t matter because Russia had good reasons for invading. Get your emotions in check.

Ukraine has been a horrible slaughter of lives. I hope the dying ends sooner, rather than later.

This has been Trump’s mentality. The only way to stop the war is to take what Russia says seriously. Giving Ukraine more weapons and money will only prolong their destruction. I expect the conflict to end soon, because the people in charge now are actually trying to end it.

So you’re too deep in to some weird conspiracy/propaganda stuff apparently. Sure Ukraine trended towards Nato ja EU, but a country should be doing independend decisions.

I’ve studied Russia a lot in my life and travelled there several times. I love Russian culture and know many russians personally. But Putin and co. are warmongering criminals. They’re not going to start 3ww soon, since that’s MAD, but their actions are not justified.

But I wish you good luck. I think we both have similar hopes of avoiding WW3, we just have different perspective here.

Ps. I don’t like comparing to history too much, but Churchill was blamed for warmongering when he did oppose Hitlers expanionist politics. If Trump believes Putin has some good will he is a bigger fool I thought.

Get your own in check dumbfuck.

And your western journal source is complete horseshit. Its the classic kernel of truth expanded into a lie. Thats why you look like such a dumbfuck. You don’t know whats real or fake.

And like I said, I’m not going to relitigate that. Theres an entire thread on it already.

Now fuck off.
@SepCalla has your number perfectly.

If Russia were handily defeating Ukraine, the war wouldn’t be dragging into a third year of little progress in either direction. You can’t handily defeat someone for two years, because after a few months of handily defeating someone (or less), the war is over.

Russian men are also leaving Russia by the millions. It doesn’t prove anything either way because war sucks, even when you’re winning.

When I say “handily”, I mean that it is clear what direction the war is going in. Russia is winning; Ukraine has no chance of winning. It is uncommon for a war to last two years or less. I dont see why people harp on this issue. Israel was defeating Hamas until the ceasefire, but of course that war wasn’t going to be completed in two years. That’s another example.

I find it fascinating that you claim what I said is a conspiracy theory, because many conservatives agree with me along with those in other parts of the world. Even Trump has cited them. My ideas are not uncommon in the least.

I agree that our perspective is just different, and that’s as far as it goes.

People like you aren’t worth conversing with.

Amount of people claiming something is true does not mean it is true.

Classic logics.

You’re so fucking slow that you don’t realize I said that 25 posts back.

Now go be a dumb twerp at someone else you silly fucktard.

Everyone is acting shocked that geopolitics continue to happen on planet Earth. The game has never stopped and won’t ever stop.

Speak softly and carry a big stick. Don’t allow grifters to plunder your treasury, leaving you defenseless. Don’t elect lying conmen.

Elect honest conmen, like your local Donald Trump equivalent.

Historically, the majority of empires ceased to exist prior to the existence of the US. But, the Ottoman Empire affected us. You also had the Mexican Empire which we involved ourselves in. And let’s not forget the Empire of Japan.

Which was a completely different entity than the Soviet empire.

The Monroe Doctrine is a doctrine, not an application.

Neither did the Vietcong, Afghanis or Iraqis.

Apples and oranges comparison.

Nation spanning warfronts on the plains of Europe are a whole different animal from a prolonged insurgency.

The mad dogs of Europe need to get put back in their kennels. The grifters should collect their blood winnings and live lavishly in peace.

Wars happen and eventually end, most of the time. I believe we remain in some state of war with N. Korea.

Trump has been by far the most anti war President of my lifetime.

RFK Jr. is confirmed, which is totally wild to me. I was once an Air America subscriber and listened to him on Ring of Fire back in the early 00’s. He’s still the same dude now that he was then.

Here’s an EPIC public comment from a Maine school board meeting this week.

Democrats cannot seem to reconcile reality with their political narratives. This is going to be wild.

I don’t think an EO is federal law. I don’t doubt there are whack jobs on that board but demanding they comply with an EO makes no sense and it opens up the argument of federal vs state vs local with regard to education. And with the end of the DOE, what school funding can the fed withhold anyway?

This isn’t an insurgent or guerrilla war. Ukraine has controlled battle lines that Russia has not pushed back in a strategically significant way for nearly 3 years since the very beginning of the war. A conventional battlefield war that lasts 3 years means no one is winning handily.

That’s very different from a counterinsurgency war that may last for a long time while one side has no open control of any significant territory and no conventional forces engaging in pitched battles across well defined battle lines. There is no force in Gaza that is able to openly fight the IDF for 1 day, much less 3 years. That doesn’t mean that Israel will definitely achieve all of its goals, but it does mean that Israel is able to handily defeat any pitched resistance. Russia has failed to do that.
