This has been in the news for over 10 years. They’ve tried to automate the system but all attempts end up failing. So it’s not a case of deliberately wanting a slow and inefficient system. Maybe Musk can put together a team who will succeed where other private contractors have failed. I remember reading an article and one of the issues was that a federal employee can retire and then unretire and even do that process more than once. Laws are also changing all the time. I don’t remember the exact numbers but the government has spent millions on trying to improve technology. On the bright side, if you work for the OPM, your retirement paperwork goes to the top of the pile. The thing is that the government and this probably includes state governments as well isn’t going to get rid of paper any time soon. Iron Mountain is everywhere.

That’s a really good question. I don’t think you should write the thought process off as self-hatred from whites.
It all depends on how you want to break all of these ideas down and arrive at the justification for them.
At this point in my lifetime of reading and curiosity, the common denominator I observe across most of history and present’s capital S Socialists, which includes National Socialism, is their embrace of the dialectic. I will also lump Italian Fascism here, which can be traced to Hegel’s dialectic, which Marx sought to invert. I consider both Hegel’s and Marx’s dialectic to be an overly complicated bundle of nonsensical navel gazing that should be regarded as political theory, science fiction, and the worst possible way to think about public policy.
The lens of dialectical materialism only gets murkier from here, as you are conditioned to believe that you can reconcile two incompatible ideas or “contradictions” by applying this never-ending thought process until you reach a point where you are always right about everything.
I mean, they all wrote a ton about it. Mao, Stalin, Marx, Hitler, Gentile, many many more. All deep believers in their ability to transcend reality and bring about “social justice”.
That’s the part I believe defines the cult. You can be a member of it without embracing transgender ideology or modern “wokeism”.

It has been said that Socialism is the opiate of the intellectuals. I believe it is, and the lens of dialectical materialism is a big element of how they “achieve” all of these wild ideas that then get foisted on society. It allows for a great deal of self-congratulation among academics who often have a deep desire to be right in situations where their ideas don’t have to be tested against reality, like academia.
Transgenderism is a conveniently adjacent ideology that meshes well with Socialism, as it has created an entirely new concept of oppression that resonates with many. Democratic Socialism embraces race politics as well, which other types didn’t always do, nor did Italian fascism.
What is being implemented in Maine is just a different verse in the same shitty song of Socialism that’s been being sung for over a century now. It distinguishes itself by being even more expansive in it’s vision for the future than anything that’s come before it.

Pay attention to local politics, people. There is a lot to talk about going on in Washington D.C., but it all connects back to the local level and that’s where it is most important for most people.

A lot of what DOGE is digging up is giving me flashbacks to when I worked on an SAP implementation project. You don’t set that kind of software up by popping in the DVD and using the install wizard, you have to completely align the ways of working across the entire business with the software solution. You can do this by changing the process in the physical world or by modifying the software to model the process, or a combination.
There’s a lot more to it than that, but in going about this exercise you will stumble across all kinds of wild ways of working and even some funny business. You often find processes that have been built up slowly over time and are often quite entrenched, often to the organization’s detriment.
Letting smart people poke around your system can also turn up all kinds of odd patterns. I recall discovering that shop floor employees were gaming the production bonus incentive program when their output was wildly exceeding the theoretical maximum of the production line.
We simply began validating any entries being made to ensure that they could not exceed the machine’s theoretical maximum. They could still get the bonus, if they earned it. The jig was up at that point.
Anyone who has participated in an audit can tell you that the big consulting firms often employ very young people, as they seek to scoop up the best and brightest right out of college. They find things.
SAP implementation is actually pretty damn similar to National Socialism, minus the race stuff. Hitler’s concept of Gleichschaltung was one of “synchronization”, where all of society and the economy were aligned towards the same purpose of benefiting the Volksgemeinschaft, his term for the German community.
Implementing software like that is actually pretty heavy-handed at times, one might even call it authoritarian. Many people will be disappointed in the changes to their roles and ways of working, and will need to be forced into it.
Of course, these comparisons are a bit silly as working for a well-organized company is voluntary, and you can quit at any time.

Also to add, with all the security stuff, users have no clue how this stuff works and they should not be using connected systems anymore. People are forced to work online and it’s so complicated now with integrations etc it’s become too big for normal brains.
I was forced into IT because I lost my job. It’s the only way to pay my bills without having to be a grease monkey and even that is going IT. It is such a confusing line of work, I hate waking up everyday of my life not understanding WTF I’m looking at, IT SUCKS!!!
These people are typically women. They see whiteness as a patriarchal system which has oppressed them for far longer than it has oppressed any other so called minority or non white group.
People bring up the humanities when talking about indoctrination in universities. But it goes deeper than that; the rise of neo Marxist, woke, deconstructionism, my truth, CRT, etc., ideology in colleges coincides with the increase of female professors in the humanities. Many academic fields and classes were invented, in my opinion, to create jobs for female professors. Something to consider is that one field in the humanities where women are underrepresented is philosophy. A field that relies on logic and reason, not my truth, and where you can’t avoid learning about so called old dead white men.
