They didn’t know the truth.
Following Elon on X has been one of the best parts of this administration so far. He definitely brigs a level of obtuse humor to the federal government that we aren’t used to seeing, while also being WAY more serious than the people we’re used to having in those kind of roles.
Is it really possible that the BLM riots were funded by tax dollars?
A year ago I’d be looking at a statement like that a little side eyed.
Today, I’m like, “Yeah, thats plausible.”.
I didn’t realize anyone thought otherwise.
For a lot of people, me included, I certainly always suspected it could be possible, but this is exactly the sort of thing that gets dragged into the sunlight when you open up the books and people start connecting the massive constellation of nonprofits and NGO’s.
We’ll not derail this thread here, but I’ve been extremely suspicious about the 9/11 explanations provided to us by the neocons since roughly October of 2001. People forget that a 47 story building struck by no planes also collapsed in NYC on that day.
I wouldn’t put it past these crooks one bit.
Meanwhile, headlines like this are a big part of how the grift became entrenched in Maine. Someone local just slapped this together, all taken from our mainstream newspaper outlets, which are now owned by a non profit trust from out-of-state.
Anyone who says “Wait a minute, Maine has always welcomed people from away” gets called a racist if you don’t agree that Maine has a shortage of state-dependent migrants from distant lands.
It is as if all of the Democratic Socialist feel that people in 20th century Maine were supposed to be traveling abroad to claim wives with different skin color instead of just having kids with people nearby.
Racist garbage from the left.
Probably Nazis. Or Vietcong. Or Putin. Maybe all of them.
I mean, SOMEONE made a very conscious decision to pump all of these people into Maine at taxpayer expense.
At no point in Maines history has any politician campaigned on getting Lewiston Public Schools up to 42 languages and 2,000 non English speaking students.
They just started trafficking people in and calling everyone who objected racist. Now they are in a position where they need to make people believe white Mainers are now and have always been deeply racist.
It is deeply nefarious.
Chirussubastan is, indeed, nefarious.
Absolute vermin pushing that trash.
It really is and I’m very glad that people like me in Maine, and others who are accomplishing much more, are putting themselves in front of every accusation of racism, transphobia, bigotry and all of the other expected rhetoric to stand up for this wonderful state.
Lots of 1990s liberals are joining me in standing up for everything that made us liberals in the 1990s.
Meanwhile, there is a massive number of people who have been led to believe in their heart of hearts that I, and people like me, are fascists, which is to suggest that we share Hitler’s broad goals.
People believe it 100 percent, and that’s a bit concerning.
It’s definitely getting real in the Pine Tree state.
It’s already gotten real for Trump and I don’t think anyone should underestimate the danger he’s knowingly placing himself in. The same goes for Elon Musk. What they are doing takes a set of big balls.
I thought it was liberal white women who were the most likely to have been diagnosed with a mental problem.
It is… the “men” too but overwhelmingly the “women”
Bill Hicks was fucking hilarious and a great example of how a lot of us felt in the 1990’s. He toured with Tool, who are a great example of artists who focus on their artwork while staying out of loudly signaling their personal politics.
I’m still bummed I didn’t get invited to the mats when Maynard was in Maine a few years ago. Only two people did and not even my coach got to be there. I did go to the concert and it was awesome. I got an early taste of Fear Innoculum before the album dropped. One of the best live performances I’ve seen.
Here’s some early and raw Bill Hicks. Watching this over 30 years after it was performed, I see 1990’s liberalism, not 2025 Democratic Socialism.
Watch and learn about American culture, any of you young’uns.
One of my teammates is Maynard’s security guy. He’s been to our gym a few times but I’ve never met him.
Trump may be an old boomer, and boomers have held political power longer than any other generation in American history, but Generation X is definitely stepping into the political spotlight.
Exhibit A is Joe Rogan. He is literally just a guy who’s never made any special claims about himself except for what he’s actually achieved. His totally authentic podcast became a media titan. It’s not just his direct downloads, but all the reactions to it and so forth, all the way down into where Tik Toks are made.
I think Rogan himself endorsed this description of his show, and I love it. I think it, like Tolkien, is an intrinsically good cultural achievement. I see no indication to believe that Joe Rogan is somehow bought and paid for. Just like Musk.
This clip is so gen X it hurts. Get used to more guys. We’re kind, not nice.
@twojarslave Immediately thought of you when I saw this X post LOL:
If only we knew that we had our own Mines of Moria but they were filled with boxes of Manila envelopes and paperwork instead of Mithril and secrets. If we dig too deeply do we piss off the Balrogs?
Fyi to everyone, this is our gov’t in action LOLLL:
Department of Government Efficiency
Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone mine in Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes and cardboard boxes. The retirement process takes multiple months.
George Washington’s vision for paper-based government record-keeping conducted in the security of a deeply-excavated site has finally been realized, and these FASCISTS want to dismantle that progress?
This is an example of how “they” fucked with Musk wrt SpaceX:
one part of gov’t sues Musk for not hiring enough insert whatever here so Musk is being discriminatory; meanwhile, at the same time LOLLLLL, another part of gov’t is suing Musk because he can only hire US citizens (or something like that can’t remember) because SpaceX employees can come into contact with classified information.
Put that banana in your tailpipe.
