I neither hate nor like Musk. I distrust him because his motives are not clear. When he answers the question what’s in it for him, which probably won’t happen, then I’ll make a judgement.
I just don’t put my faith, hope and dreams in the hands of anyone in government. That apparently puts you at odds with the cultists on the forum who insist you choose a side, or more exactly, one of two sides. I didn’t help to create either of the two sides yet I have to pick one? Both political parties, all political ideologies for that matter, existed before I was born, yet I am obligated to be beholden to one? To identify with one?

I have 5 boys. 25, 22, 14, 14, 12. I’ve spent a lot of time around teenage boys. I would never defend them being racist little shits.
I WAS a teenage boy. I grew up in a tiny little town in West Texas. We would fight at recess-- Mexicans against whites-- up through junior high. The one black kid had to be on the Mexican side. My mom’s dad was in the klan in Arkansas.

This guy we are discussing was 24 or 25. He wasn’t a kid when he posted it. I am smart enough to believe people when they show you who they are. Presumably this racist piece of shit has gone to college and been exposed to all kinds of races and cultures. He’s been in the workforce. He isn’t some 16 year old working at McDonald’s who just didn’t know any better.
Edit: i voted for Trump 3 times and don’t regret it at all. I’m all for what he’s doing. I sure as shit don’t think this one racist piece of shit is uniquely qualified to get the job done.

I’m all for what is getting done. I don’t justify hiring racists to do it. There are a shit ton of people who could do the job.
Musk doesn’t. His twitter bullying is proof. Firing people en masse is also a form of cancel culture.

I’ll take his disclosure of the role our government played in controlling social media and political narratives as an act of good will though.

You had a powerful organization working in conjunction with the ruling political party to manipulate people with fact checks, which you have defended in the past, suppressing the political opposition through algorithms and outright censorship, and promoting everything to advance the cause of America’s grifters.
