We need some original movies to come out. I know it’s hard, or damn near impossible, for something to be truly original, but they seem to be over doing the different take on old stories thing. And John Wayne is an icon.

Hey Inception was pretty darn original, not going to argue with people who thought it was bad or good or whatever, it was however a movie that at least in essence was “cut from new cloth”

Dude, it wasn’t just white guys from Oklahoma or Texas back then. You had African and Native Americans riding across the country, kickin ass, and taking names.

I think you will see the problem in the extended version of your answer:

White people kicked black people’s asses and Indian’s asses, and Mexican asses, as well as had their own asses handed to them.
I’ll be damned if I’m stuck with Blazing Saddles as the pinnacle for a Black Western. There were bad ass Black Cowboys in the Wild West and I want to see it on screen.

Most Westerns involve a bad ass bandit or a former soldier turned gun for hire. Need a quality gun for hire, pay for the services of a Buffalo soldier.

Inception?
Yeah that one was pretty original, but they have made movies about dreams and things in them before. Maybe I’m just nitpicking.

I as well would like to see the one bad ass black cowboy,
but unfortunately for me, only my step-grandfather was a Jew, so I think you need to direct this toward Jewbacca and tell him to tell his cousins that they need to start making movies about that one bad black ass cowboy. And, remember that I’m just an Irishman.
I love a good Ol cowboy action flick…even though ever single scene in that trailer look like the original with John Wayne

My point is that Hollywood has been more comfortable when the whites are kicking ass, not when their asses are being kicked.
Hollywood movies read like the mind of a jewish, afrocentric liberal.

Wish we had a decent black Cowboy movie. Posse was weak and Danny Glover died in Lonesome Dove. FUCK!!
what the hell is wrong with Blazing Saddles?
A western comedy? The fuck ever. The only Western I could think of with a real black lead is 100 Rifles starring Jim Brown.
I don’t know how you can say Jim Brown had the lead when Raquel Welch was in the film, hahaha!
Basically I don’t like remakes and won’t go see this. The old remaking a John Wayne flick just rubs me the wrong way. It might seem silly, but can anyone in Hollywood come up with an original idea?
Johnny Cash I love, Coen brothers I just find boring. No country for Old Men put me to sleep. I hated the Road, book and movie. I just find Cormac Macarthy boring. And that Oprah endorsement didn’t help either.

As an honorary member of the Black Superhero Squad you are close to losing membership for making a stupid statement. Roughly a third of cowboys were either black or Native American. Now, go to the library and read, then you can go to bed.

Why remake what was already a classic movie?
THIS! You cannot remake a John Wayne movie! It’s just wrong! Besides, every other remake of a classic movie has sucked. You’d have thought Hollywood would have learned by now.
Elvis was a hero to most
But he never meant shit to me you see
Straight up racist that sucker was
Simple and plain
Mother fuck him and John Wayne
I can not watch a movie with John Wayne in it. He is horrible. But, this, remake or not, looks pretty bad ass. I might even go to the theater for it.

They need to re-make Posse. On paper, it could be a bad ass movie. The execution wasn’t that great.
