Ok, I want some opinions from the women on this forum about those mesh back trucker hats. I got a navy blue one that’s white on the top front with my school’s name on it. I like to wear it with my flannel shirts, a bit of a stubble, and an old pair of blue jeans. I like the look, but do you women dig that kind of country boy look? I actually am from the country, so it’s not like i’m faking the look - but is it too hickish for picking women up?
That’s what I always wear and, man, the chicks really dig it! I even stopped brushing my teeth to complete the ensemble.
I was just thinking about those tinted aviator glasses. Now those would really look good with the trucker hat combo. Man I gotta get me some of those next time I go to the optometrist.
So how long before the mullet becomes popular again?
I only saw 2 this weekend in Dallas… on women none-the-less! SEX-AY!
They’re fairly common amongst the skaters, surfers, moto-x’ers and the like out here in sandiego.
Once you get up to L.A. it seems like everyone is wearing a “Vondutch” trucker hat but I can’t imagine paying up to $60 for a hat that’s supposed to look vintage.
I have a few that I stole from my Dad the last time I was home, but rarely wear them, they just don’t look good on me for some reason.
I can’t pull it off either. But if I could, I would prolly wear one. I like the style. I’m a country boy.
I have one retro/trucker hat and it is an OU Sooners hat.
What's funny is my old man has about a dozen Otasco "flying O" hats that look like those trucker hats. He used to work for Otasco and grabbed a handful of them when Otasco went bankrupt. I could probably sell the damn things for 20 bucks a pop if I wanted to.
It's odd how certain styles come back into fashion.

Eeww.
That’s about all I have to say.
$60? I payed $1 for a real, used trucker hat.
I can’t believe the mesh back cap has made it back into style, they were awful when they made there debut in the 70’s and they’re awful now. Is it too much to hope for the youth of today to learn from the mistakes of the youth of my era. Please, for the love of god, don’t do it.
I think it helps to be good looking, rich and famous to make a trucker hat work for you. The rest of us just look like idiots. Yes, even Coach Davies! Sorry coach, love your work but the trucker hat has to go! :+)
If Karma doesn’t like it then I like it.
LOL… Well, Uncle Bruceter, I’ll leave you to all your fugly trucker boys then. Have at! Oh yeah, don’t forget it’s real fun to make them squeal like pigs when you’re pokin’ 'em from da rear!
Some of the older pharmacists I work with were also critical of the “initials” craze that is going on in women’s clothes. They said they went through that with Laverne and Shirley
Mmmmmmm Karma you gotta purdy mouth!
I don’t even wear Trucker hats Ho!
Like any other “trend”, you’ll find that other “trendy” people appreciate it, and non-trendy people will either (1) not notice at all (2) think you’re the one who’s out of it because they’re not up on the trends.
Also each city has its own scenes, and trends tend to start on the coasts and work their way towards the middle.
So the mesh cap got popular ummm well over a year or two ago now anyway… then I only saw it on things like MTV and the occasional urban hipster. Now I see them for sale at The Bon Marche and Nordstrom’s, so you can definitely see its effects creeping along.
Like John K said, this style came back in, then went back out about a year ago. I guess it depends on where you live, if you live in a smaller city that’s out of touch then it’s probably pretty novel. I had a von Dutch hat awhile back, it was cool until everyone on campus had one and like any trend was oversaturated, now noone except the posers dress like that.
Fashion is cyclical. 20-30 years, depending.
Everything comes back into fashion eventually, although transformed.
JUST ANOTHER FAD.
trucker hats were cool ages ago…
i got one for my little bro last christmas, come on yankee boys!!!
He is a hillbillie too, just an Aussie one

What about those armbands that everyone’s wearing now? The old sweatbands? They wear them higher up on the arm now, but it’s come back too. What are your thought on that trend?
