TRT needle sizes etc

Hi, just starting my TRT as I’m 50 years old and feel fatigued all the time and have low test results. I’ve gone through the company manual. Instead of paying the overpriced needle “starter pack” I’ve bought some independently but I’ve got 21g & 23g needles. Are these ok ? I’ll be taking 0.25 mls twice a week along with HCG. I’ll add pictures. What are the ideal size needles and is it ok to use these ones for my first effort ?

It also looks like I’m barely putting anything in to the syringe at that dose.

All help and advice appreciated.

I’m doing it Subcutaneous.

If this is the case I would get 27gax1/2" or use insulin needles. What you have you would use for IM shots. Way to big and long for subq.

What he said. I use 27 for my subq. Insulin needles irritate me due to taking more time to draw and inject, but they work just fine.

So could I draw and pin with the same 27g 1/2" needle (insulin type needle) ? I keep seeing that I draw with one and pin with another.

You can totally draw and pin with the same needle. It won’t be as sharp, but I find that with the little ones its not that noticeable. When I do Sub Q I use 31ga 5/16. If you put the vial of T in a glass of warm water for a couple minutes before you draw it up it draws and injects really easily.

this is what I prefer and have done for years. One 27g 1/2" pin for drawing and injecting. Quick, easy, mostly painless. Takes a little time due to viscosity through smaller needle, but what’s the rush?

Welcome to the revolution! you are going to feel so much better in 4-6 weeks.

I draw with 21 gauge, then put on a 27 gauge 1/2 needle on to inject. I use 1 mL luer lock syringes now. I used to just get 27 gauge slin pins, but I didn’t like how long it took to fill. After switching, I am finding that pinning with a fresh needle is noticeably easier (pushes right in).

I did a blast with the 21 gauge needles. After 10 weeks I was pretty done with that experience haha. To OP, I suggest you change gauges. Twice a week pins with 21 or 23 gauge will get old. Also, use luer lock syringes instead of slip tip, and get 1 mL syringes. They should look like this.

Or get yourself 27 gauge insulin syringes. Either can be found on Amazon. I like using the luer locks now because of the the fill time (by using a larger needle to fill), and how sharp the needle is when fresh for the actual pin.

Easy Touch a good brand of syringes. I would opt for the 27-31 gauge insulin syringes, which have a zero dead space design that was almost almost no medicine.

Thanks for the replies :+1:t2:.

Obviously slight change of topic, but should I look to source my TRT elsewhere as £110 a month is quite expensive and I’ve seen sites that sell what I have for £35 ? Is it reliable stuff ? I’m going to stay with manual for at least 3 months just so I can get bloods done and dependant on your responses.

As a rule of thumb, you usually get what you pay for, a competent provider and access to medicines. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Thats DIY using UGL stuff yes?

Yes. I’ve seen a couple of sites.
