TRT & Less Sleep: Good or Bad?

Whats up guys, i started Enanthate in late May and im pinning 20mg daily at 8am. Im running clomid daily at the same time to keep Estrogen in check.
Around 8 weeks (the saturation time), I began sleeping significantly less (-2hrs a night from abt 7h30m to 5h30, going on 8-10 days now). I track with a fitbit and have less deep, less REM, and HR is not dropping as low. However I don’t really feel like im dragging-ass all day like I would if i had this rate of sleep prior to TRT so its not like I really mind.
I just cant figure out if Im needing less sleep because Test is making up for what those 2hrs of sleep were doing, OR if the T is detrimentally disrupting my sleep but the androgenic affects just give me more energy and make it less noticeable.
What im basically concerned about is this: Are whatever gains I can make on TRT being cancelled out by sleeping less? Or is this a common side-effect and not worth worrying about?
I wanted to ask you guys before i decide to either lower dosage or wait it out.

I doubt it. One reason sleep is considered anabolic is because of the hormone release that occurs when sleeping. You’re injecting test and keeping high levels circulating at all times.

I suppose you could build up cortisol over time but I don’t know of many people on TRT who train and have a hard time getting results.

Clomid doesn’t keep estrogen in check, it blocks estrogen receptors in the brain and increases estrogenic effects in the body. You clearly don’t have a clue what’s at play here or understand what clomid is used for.

TRT + clomid is ill advised, because you lose some of the benefits of TRT.

Estrogen helps promote sleep.

As far as clomid is concerned, I can’t think of a better way to become estrogen dominant.

Wow thank you. I thought since clomid is used in PCT it stops the conversion of Test to Estrogen, and was under the impression that needs to be done. Thanks for clearing that up, clearly im new to this. Would you recommend something else or should I just that all together?

Aromatase inhibitors Arimidex, Anastrozole and Aromasin inhibit the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. Half of a Clomid pill is synthetic estrogen.

I would recommend adjusting your TRT dosing up or down, AI’s are a last resort.

Google is a powerful tool, a simple search would have revealed everything.

Thanks again, dropping the clomid and will re-assess

How, exactly? It’s not going to stop any e2 production. But it will stop e2 binding in some tissues, including your brain. You may not want that.

I definitely got conflicting info and thought it just blocked T>E conversion since clomid alone increases serum testosterone levels. It seems that may be the problem.

Why do you want to block estrogen production?

I thought higher test meant more was converted to estrogen and higher estrogen had negative effects and should be limited from elevating

You answered your own question.

TRT impacts sleep for sure. Whether that is detrimental is person dependent. My sleep has been quite poor for a very long time because of anabolics and other external factors. It hasn’t impacted my body composition in any noticeable way, but it has messed up my brain many days.

High estrogen can cause problems, but that doesn’t mean that it will.

as said dump the clomid asap. you also don’t need an AI unless you get obvious signs of e2 overload. i haven’t seen those at 500mg TRT+5000IU HCG weekly (not my typical TRT dose).
