TRT is for weak men and degenerates. Does the same go for treating hypothyroidism with thyroid or insulin for diabetes?
Why let these live rent free in your head? This sounds like a silly person: don’t give them traffic.
There’s been a recent army of anti-TRT warriors going after BJJ guys recently. Just the latest click bait hot take from influencers. Same goes for Peptides. My SiL is all in on anti peptides, which is hilarious because she’s normally alternative medicine. With FDA approvals, the social media influencer trade winds are blowing against these as medical solutions.
Who cares what “the lever king” thinks?
I also like the appeal to authority: “David Goggins thinks you suck too!” Again, so what?
You’re right.
It’s just this one was so infantile that I was compelled to share, coupled with seeing who knows how many posts I’ve seen of men boasting “I’m over 40 and look at me; no TRT; no roids” and bla bla bla. There is so much ridiculous talk about TRT.
I’ve had to clean up my IG feed of almost all fitness content recently from the sheer amount of silliness.
It’s just this one was so infantile that I was compelled to share
That is, 100%, their game. They are intentionally saying inflammatory comments to draw attention, like a child throwing a tantrum.
And, in turn, the best way to combat a tantrum is to ignore it. Sharing it is spreading the fire, and doing exactly what they want: giving them exposure.
We can make the signal to noise ratio BETTER by just ignoring this nonsense. The reaction to TRT right now comes about as a result of people using steroids and labeling it as TRT. We have misinformation weaponized against misinformation. Orwell couldn’t write a better narrative.
Most online fitness content is a shit show. A LARGE % of the stuff is half truths or complete bullshit. Mostly to provide the poster with clicks and engagement for either attention or financial reward.
Here’s a fun historical tidbit to tie it all together
In 1998, The World Wrestler Federation (now the WWE) held the “Brawl for All”, a shootfighting tournament wherein Professional Wrestlers engaged in REAL fights on TV in a single elimination tournament.
How was it received?
“We want wrestling!”
Fans did NOT want to see real fighting: they wanted to see men PRETEND to fight each other.
Because they didn’t want reality: they wanted entertainment.
The same is true of social media.
Bread and circuses.
Correct. ![]()
Yeah. For some time, even though I didn’t need to know much more, and there’s only so much info one needs to hit goals, at least some of the content was motivational, impressive, or provided some novelty. Much of it is now theatrical and immature. My feed is nearly home-cooking, healthy foodie stuff now.
Pure rage bait.
I think my favorite right now is dudes who freely recommend tren and clen raving against GLP-1s and other peptides. Makes no sense. I saw one guy, who I generally actually like, question a physician in his comments “why are you prescribing diabetic drugs to non-diabetics.” Never mind the drugs have a weight loss indication… you use insulin dude!
People have are tough time looking in the mirror first.
There used to be this old hippy retread mechanic who worked with my father. He was always worried about inhaling chemical. If we were spraying Brakleen or something he’d move away or cover his face. Another guy yelled at him one day something like, “Cut the shit Joe. You’re going to do 5 hits of acid over the weekend and you’re afraid of smelling starting fluid?”
As far as the OP topic, I don’t know who Leverking is, but Dave Goggins is a fag. I assume Leverking is a fag as well.
