TRT-HCG Induced Hypoglycemia?

Hi Guys

Since starting HCG (125iu daily) 5 months ago I have been getting Hypoglycemia’s during and after workouts. I can’t spend more than 30 minutes at the gym even when loading on carbs or having glucose with me without feeling dizzy, disoriented and anxiety. I had a glucometer chip installed in my arm and sure enough by blood sugar drops fast.

I have been reading about progesterone induced Hyperinsulinemia.

I did a test of walking fasted before my HCG shot and there was no problem. Next day I did my shot and went for a fasted walk and within 20 minutes I was having symptoms.

Has anyone experienced low blood sugar with TRT or HCG?

My fasting glucose is normal and so is my glucose after meals so this is really weird to pin point. It’s either estrogen or progesterone causing it cause I did not have this specific issue with TRT only.

Conclusions:

Results show the activity of hCG (both urinary and recombinant) on glycemia and leptins levels in experimental animals in different formulations. hCG administration significantly decreased blood sugar and leptin levels, whereas adiponectins were only relatively sensitive to hCG.

Thanks for posting. I indeed read that study.

Shouldn’t everyone on HCG be having low blood glucose? I haven’t found anyone with the same issue

In a perfect world, everyone would respond exactly the same to these compounds, everyone would get the same side effects from medicines. Everyone would have the same diseases and everyone would get Post Finasteride Syndrome when taking DHT blockers, because our DNA is exactly the same.

The reality is our genes, DNA is what makes us unique.

It’s scary to imagine what will happen to you long term on hCG with the lowering of glucose during exercise. The next step is clear, you need stop the hCG.

This is the hand you were dealt.

Yup. May I ask why OP was on it in the first place?

Yes but still, I can’t be the only one and I have not been able to find a single person on the internet having the same issue.

There are ways around it. I can’t stop it entirely either. It brings a lot of benefits.

HCG can increase cortisol, progesterone and DHEA. Maybe you could figure out which of these hormones is subpar and supplement directly.
