TRT cause systematic iron deficiency for me. I need ferritin 80> to feel good consistently. I have to supplement a large dose of iron daily, or ferritin plummets!

Men on TRT will rarely become anemic because the TRT drives ^^ the hemoglobin more strongly than naturally.

TRT induce low ferritin, iron.

If you’re on TRT, and you can’t maintain normal ferritin, it’s because TRT increases EPO which increased erythroferrone, lowering hepcidin and ferroportin lets iron release from hepatocytes and therefore ferritin doesn’t rise.

Agreed ! I took your advice previously and I’m on iron tablets daily till I get to 120 ferritin for 6 months then keep it at 100 after that. Also B12 I’m starting injections soon as I have a digestive absorption issue with it .

@systemlord
Apart from iron does other bloods look ok to you ?
