TRT, Androgens, & Sleep

I’ve been dialing in my TRT dose since February of this year when I started again and have intermittently been battling that “androgenic feeling” at 4am, ending up with sub-optimal sleep. Im averaging 5hrs a night when it used to be 7.5. It’s nothing debilitating and I power through it but I hear everyone talk about TRT improving sleep and I’m just not there, I also dont want the negative of effects of poor sleep on muscle-building. I’m wondering what you guys have been experiencing and if I should lower my dose, which isn’t even high to begin with. I thought I may be a hyper-responder but I pin daily so it’s probably just equivalent to a higher dose. I’m not a caffeine junkie, i have 2 cups early in the day, workout early and take CBD & Melatonin at night but maybe just one or two nights a week I’ll get “good” sleep. I initially started TRT due to high SHBG (I had normal Total T levels of 800 for a 40yo but my Free T was very low and I had severe low T symptoms)

Protocol is 87.5 mg Test E (12.5mg at 8am daily)
Labs for the past 4 months have been consistent…
Total T: 1350s
Free T: 28-30
Free Androgens: 95-100
E2: 50-60
Cortisol is low and SHBG has started a very slow drop from my pre-TRT labs

I’m going to skip a few doses and let my levels come down a little bit, but I’m wondering if any of you guys had similar experiences. I’m thinking about keeping my current dose and pin 6 days out of 7 and seeing if sleep improves.

Aside from the sleep issue I feel good, but would really like to get rid of this.

A lot of this is trial and error. I would try a lower dose and see. You’ll know in a few weeks and can always go back up if that didn’t help.
