I’ve been on TRT now for 7 months. My natural T was like 163. Not sure my original E #. So after a few injections of Cypianate (.5cc weekly) I started have symptoms of my E rising. The doc ordered anastozal (1/2 tab twice a week). One dose and I got migraines and broke out in shingles—- E was dropped down to like a 5. Crazy I know but it was terrible. Stopped taking that and life actually got 100% better. Starting building libido and muscle in the gym. 3 month in and my elbows began to hurt. They got real bad, so i went to see my family doc, was referred to a specialist who said I had injured them and have tennis elbow. You need therapy and elbow rest, tried that and shots in them, no help. As time has went on I’ve noticed the pain comes and goes. When I inject I have no pain, 3 days later and through day 5 it’s terrible. Like magic day 6 it’s almost gone, day 7 and it’s fine, then I go through it all again. I’ve tried taking a 1/4 tab of anastozal to see if it was high E, no better at all. My T level on day 3 of my shot is still only 500 ish normally and E around 20. I’ve yet to get a blood test done on day 5. Should I split my dose? I’ve read that’s a game changer, I still now and again have libido issues on those days where the pain is extreme as well. I can have sex no issue, but I could kind of care less, as well as being very easily annoyed. It’s driving me nuts and keeping me from lifting, which is a major part of my life, SUGGESTIONS??
Tendonitis i usually a LOW E2 problem, high E2 gets rid of it. Stay very far away from anastrozole, it is only hurting you. Split dose may help. A slightly bigger dose will probably help. If all else fails you could try BPC 157, do a search in Pharma - it’s not AAS and I think it’s legal everywhere. Most likely you just need a bigger dose, maybe split, to raise your E2 a little.
I believe may have experienced an allergic reaction to an avocado after taking anastrozole, been eating them me entire life and took anastrozole and my eyes and sinuses swelled up shut for several hours. This event never happened when taking either separately, only together.
I have heard of another experienced an allergic reaction to something eaten after taking anastrozole.
My doctor suggested trying a larger dose of no improvements in the next freaking 6 months. Heck no that’s to long, if i’m on 1/2cc per week, I thought maybe 1/3 twice a week, or would you think 1/2 and 1/2 cc??
At least 1/2 cc twice a week. At least. That’s a starter dose to see how it goes, most guys need at least that much.
Thanks a lot for the your insight. Going to start tomorrow. So I assume if I inject tomorrow night, my second injection should be Thursday, correct?
If you inject tomorrow night, Friday morning would be 3.5 days. Would it make much difference? Probably not. I inject Monday morning and Thursday morning.
You should try BPC 157 It is really good at lowering inflammation
I won’t claim to be any sort of expert when it comes to TRT or anything but is it possible that it has nothing to do with TRT?
I started getting awful tennis elbow about 4 months after getting on TRT and I thought it had to be something to do with TRT as well but it turned out that my wrists were bent back a little bit while flat benching, so I switched to bull dog grip and it disappeared immediately.
Just a suggestion.
I’ve had elbow tendonitis from squats. Had to move the grip out to the collars. Lots of bigger guys get it from the bar flex during the lift.
Good point. I get that as well depending on how much of a broken wrist grip I use.
But does anybodies come and go? Seems to get worse at the end of my cycle, then by the very end it’s gone. Like starts getting sore on Wednesday/Thursday, hurts Friday, Saturday is some better and by Sunday night is gone. Inject on Monday’s. I did up my bench max over the winter by 50 lbs, lots of people tell me that’s what done it, just odd it gets better and worse. I changed my injection day, and it kinda follows suit.
Does it hurt all of the time when it hurts, or just around a specific workout?
All the time, any movement
Especially like picking up a full coffee cup by the handle, it’s crazy forearm pain. Connecting to my elbow, but it’s not hurting at all right now
That’s how it was with mine from squats. Didn’t bother me the day that I did the damage, it was a day or two later.
EXACTLY!!! Holy crap, yes… and using/manipulating your fingers as opposed to a single clenched grasp is brutal. It was always awful pain but stretching out your fingers and kind of using them, as opposed to whole arm strength, was insane pain. I had 2 problem areas on same forearm.
I resorted to getting a cortisone shot on the right side of forearm at elbow tendon. The pain there was 100% gone after 2 weeks or so, miraculous BUT… the slighter pain on the fleshy side of forearm gradually increased until it became as bad as the tennis elbow. So, on follow-up with the Doc who gave me a shot or cortisone, he told me I needed massage therapy there, as there is no tendon on that fleshy side. He says it’s inflammation in muscle. Gave me a script of
Naproxen/Esomeprazole 500mg/200mg 2x a day and a referral to massage therapy 2 times a week.
1 week later and I’d say 50% improvement.
I’ve tried everything, shots didn’t last long at all, and message therapy works but it comes back. I’ve laid off lifting now for over 2 months and have been doing some intervals, i am in a cut phase anyway. But i am hoping my dose change will help. Even weeks i haven’t lifted at all, just ran or something, it hurts on the same days. That’s why i’m praying this helps.
Shit! I thought I was in the clear for that side… I’ll start doing those weird stretch bar with ridges twisting exercises whenever the other side heals up. We may need to gradually build up our forearm whatevers before lifting again…
Cortisone shots are actually about the worst thing you can do. It relieves inflammation temporarily but destroys a lot of things and leaves you worse than when you started. Relieving inflammation with Cortisone of NSAIDs just masks a problem so that you can make it worse. Figure out what’s causing it. And, of course, there is BPC 157 which actually helps it heal.
Something that was common amongst the powerlifters 10 or 15 years ago (and some Strongmen) was to use DMSO on it, it’s a liquid horse liniment that they sell at vet supplies and Tractor Supply. But you have to wash the area very carefully before application, whatever is on the surface gets carried in with the liniment. They frequently but Goody’s or ground up aspirin on the skin first for that reason. It’s good for temporary relief, but it doesn’t eliminate the cause.
