TRT and Chest Pains, Difficulty Breathing

When you do - if your numbers are near the top of the range, or over the range, go donate blood or do the therapeutic bloodletting to lower it.

@fitguy442002 I don’t think there’s much you would notice as far as symptoms, but if yours are on the higher end of the range (or over range) - see above advice in bold. It’s a known result of injecting test, some are unaffected and others may need to donate or bloodlet. If there were a symptom, it would be stroking out lol.

High HCT means your blood is getting too thick :+1:

@Andrewgen_Receptors would more cardio help?

what are the symptoms of high HCT?

Cardio may lower HCT a bit, but if you’re already active it’s unlikely.

You don’t have a reason to worry about higher HCT unless you are really close to the upper limit though. Better to discuss this with your doc; if he’s not concerned - you shouldn’t be either.

@TC_Luoma could probably help explain this better than i could. Im just a guy whose read a bit.

test results are as follows
HCT 0.492 ref range is 0.410-.0510 L/L
testosterone 31 nmol/L ref range 9.5-30 nmol/L
fasting sugars went up to 10.8 nmol/L
they didnt check free test or estrogen
i am currently on a dosage of 200mg a week intramuscular

Dose. Regiment. Labs.

If you are on an AI, that very welll could be the cause of it. Your heart / organs/ brain / bones need E to stay healthy. Men who take an AI end up causing high blood pressure, heart rate, it destorys the endothelial lining in the heart / arteries and etc.

HCT is not the cause of this normally, unless you have a disorder that causes your blood to thicken. Do you have a history in family of this? Polycythemia vera.

There could be a million reasons for this and not TRT. Maybe you are on anxiety medication and its getting worse. Maybe you taking a huge dose of AI and your E levels are crashed for too long of a period of time. There could be a dozen reasons.

you arent taking anything else?what other pharmaceuticals and any other history of family diseases … diabetees… have you had a history of illness before starting trt.

What is an AI? I dont know my family history due to being adopted. Only other meds im on are the diabetic meds and an anti depressant.
Im following what my doctor tells me to take, id like to trust they know what they are doing.

This might be why you don’t feel well, Type 2 diabetics typically have low SHBG, so your Free T must be over the top of the ranges and maybe 3-4 times normal.

Your weight, body fat percentage likely means your E2 is sky high!

The high androgens and high E2 can be causing your breathing issues.

Your doctors are either incompetent, or are underachievers or both.

They don’t teach sex hormones in traditional medical schools, so expect your doctors to be completely clueless and operating in the dark.

I can tell you with almost absolute certainty that your dosage is too high. A reasonable starting protocol would be 100 mg weekly.

Some men find more symptom relief splitting the weekly dosage up into smaller injections multiple times per week.

An AI is an aromatase inhibitor, which partially blocks aromatase enzymes which convert T to estrogen.

You tend to have more aromatase enzymes with higher body fat.

I started out on the gels but my body wasnt absorbing so they moved to the patched then the shots, on the shots 200mg every 2nd week wasnt doing anything so they moved me to my current doesage. My symptoms from low testosterone due to the loss of a testicle to cancer and my body not bouncing back have not gone away even on my current dosing. Im waiting for my next appointment as im going to ask the doctor about the information recieved here and see if maybe the mixture is causing some problems as well. I had talked to my urologist about it and he stated that if i dont feel energized the first day or 2 after my shot thats more than likely not the problem but did not elaborate

Your urologist doesn’t know what he’s doing. He’s not checking the most important hormones because he doesn’t know any better.

You can’t just set the TRT dosage high and hope for the best, you have to manipulate the dosage and injection frequency to get the levels where you feel best.

We have members on daily, every other day, twice weekly and weekly protocols.

TRT is not a set and forget therapy, you have to experiment to find out what works best for you.

I’ve noticed guys with Type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome seem to do best on very small frequent dosing.

That makes a lot of sense

Nothing, both for how i felt and the lab work

I wouldn’t expect much at all, plan for the worst, make some calls right now and change doctors.

Your urologist is going to be like a deer in headlights when you ask him the questions based on what you’ve learned here.

Unfortunately due to my line of work i dont get the choice to change my doctor its made fir me.
