What exactly about the heart is reduced?

Old response but it’s relevant as I just raised my dose of thyroid.

I was at 3.2 ft3 recently and nothing but symptoms. Chronic fatigue and depression. Doc increased to 1.5 grains and wallah my symptoms resolved. If symptoms are heavily thyroid related you try thyroid. Or suffer trying to achieve success via other methods that maybe supresss some issues but make the underlying issue worse.

The ejection fraction from left ventricle is 40-45%. Should be over 55

Metformin update. I was taking 1000 mg xr a day with dinner. Not pre diabetic. Took
for belly fat., visceral fat.
In 2 months lost 6-7 pounds. Went down about 4% body fat. Am now about 14% bf

Belly looks sooooo much better.

I am stopping metformin now. See if I maintain and my insulin reset ā€œworkedā€

Also stopped because read a study that metformin ā€œcanā€ effect ejection fraction of LV. I can restart metformin as per endo as I please.

So when I take my cardiac mri in 2 weeks …

Also citrucel tablets helping me keep things moving digestively further helping my belly appearance

Thyroid meds did that for me. When I started the thyroid I felt great. Then the pharmacy said they ran out of dessicated and switched me to synthetic. With the syn I started feeling tired and I put weight back on. I told my doc and we upped the dose. Within 30 days I lost another 3-5% body fat.

Thyroid is metabolism boosting. Body builders use it to increase fat burning as well. Interesting.

Im trying now to adjust to metformin, unfortunately almost 3 weeks and still experience very unpleasant symptoms. I start to think I just cannot take this drug.

Im taking 500mg XR with dinner. I experience fatigue, sleepiness throughout the day and yesterday I started to feel strong nausea.

You can possibly try berberine.

Yes, but it doesn’t have the same benefits and I’m not much willing to. Also I suspect there will be reactions there too.

Will try to push more with the metformin.

May be worth it to take a quick blood test while on metformin and experiencing symptoms.

CBC, metabolic panel, fasting insulin.

I’ve taken, all look normal and like before

Protocol 50mg 2x a week Subq.
10mg dhea micronized in am
Daily Cialis
Daily multi vitamin
Extra Vit D3 and zinc picolante 2x a week
About 250mg mg glycinate at night
Citrucel for digestion

Labs 7/31day B4 injection

Tsh 3.03
Free t4 .95
Free t3 2.8
Dhea-s 311 (102-416)

Hct 45.2
Hgb 14.8

Total t 491
Free t 13.5 (6.8-21.5)
Estradiol 23.9

I see thyroid is a bit sluggish in this lab. But I just took one 7/1 and it was much better. I will not treat thyroid based on 1 lab. I was taking armour a couple months back and u get no different so stopped it.

Me lowering dhea down to 10 mg from 25 is still yielding good level so am staying at 10.

I feel very good. My plan I think is to inject a bit more testosterone. Maybe 54mg 2x a week. I like to go up slow because i feel good.

Any ideas?

Charlie, since you are feeling good, and happy with the way you feel, I would not change a thing. A lot of what we do is optional, or elective, and more symptom based than numbers driven.

if you don’t have fatigue and other symptoms that are not resolving don’t take thyroid . I agree. On the other hand if you do and thyroid didn’t work, then you increase dose until it works

More free t never hurts. Definitely

Free t is so low. Raise that sucker into the 20s bro. You’ll benefit greatly from that. Not jsut mood and well being but recovery and lipids and more.

I can’t be aggressive now. My echo from heart showed low heart function. The ejection fraction near 40%. Doing cardiac mri for more accuracy next week. I hope it’s over 55%.

It would be something if my free t was higher that it will resolve this problem.

Need to speak with a trt specialist. More estrogen helps protect the heart brain and etc

More free t repairs and heals and has other benefits for the body like IGF1 Increases

Your estrogen is so low it could very well be the cause of these heart issues.

You should join the group because the docs and experts there can give you some
Serious advice based on real world experience not heresay and etc

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it
