TRT 1 Year Update

Gerd. Last thing Dr said there may have been disinfectant on scope that messed me up.

Am taking the sucralfate Dr gave me and omperazole 1x daily.

I still wake up with mild heart burn. Remember I never had this. If I dont take the sucralfate during the day I get that dull pain that last for hours after I eat.
It’s only been a little over a week since seeing new Dr who gave me the above. So am hoping another week of doing this the pain should resolve without taking the meds. If not, back to the Dr to further investigate.

I still think it’s possible that he really irrated my stomach with one of his 7 biopsies he did. Unreal.

Got some partial results. TSH 1.9. Meanwhile my hands are always cold.
Total t3 is 85. Low normal. Free t4 1.1. No free t3 yet. My free t3 was usually 3.1-3.2. There’s something to the total t3 always being in low end.

If thyroid ok maybe Dr saying I have raynauds disease is correct.

Dr also checking rheumatoid factor and Lyme disease. Since raynauds is a an auto immune disease. And ANA.

What I do know is when I took the small dose of dissectated thyroid 15 mg my cold hands disappeared. But may have felt too warm

That’s what I think. He irritated something.

I started thyroid and it did worked wonders for me. What’s odd I never had cold hand issues. It did help with fatigue though

I don’t have anything but cold hands. So that’s why am not sure it’s the thyroid.
We’ll see what the free t3 come in at. If less than 3.0 I will for sure take the med.

When it comes in at 3.2 i think it makes it unlikely it’s the thyroid. Though total t3 is on the low end.
I read low end total t3 can indicate subclinical hypo

Good point.
It might be fat retaining water. Is that possible? Can I retain water just around belly?
I gained a few pounds.
Unless it’s the omperazole or sucralfate.

Most likely yes.

However in terms of optimization ,like free t, you want to optimize and see if you benefit. I was told keep the t3 upper range.

@enackers

Ok guys got some labs.

Thyroid t3 free 3.1 (2.3-4.2)
Total t3 85 (76-170)
Free t4 1.1 (.8-1.8)
TSH 1.91

You think I should restart my low dose armour?
The results above are basically consistent over many labs. TSH usually in the 2’s .

Total estrogens 179 pg/ml (60-190 male range)
Still waiting for total t and free t.
Hct 48.1
Thyroid antibodies negative
Rheumatoid factor negative
ANA negative

You seem healthy. Normal average. I wouldn’t touch it if you don’t have any other sides. Lucky man.

HCT is good to nice!

Thanks man. I started the 15 mg armour.
I took in December and my cold hands disappeared. It sux to have the feeling of cold hands.

Plus the 15 mg will certainly not shut my own production down. It’s equivalent to about 25 mcg t4 and 2.5 mcg t3

Hi @charlie12 - how did you come up with this break down from 15mg or Armour? Curious because I’m taking 90mg armour daily and wondered what it broke out to be. Thanks!

So here’s what my pill bottle says

T4/t3 38-9 I guess 38 mcg in t4 and 9 in t3. How is that compares to what your on. What was the ratio.

I saw a chart too that says the 15 mg is converted to 25mcg synthroid. So even though bottle days 9.5 t4 the equivalency is 25 mcg See above for dosing.
@bcostigan41

Ok yeah your in the minimum dose I’m 4x you’re on. Interesting. Mine is compounded and derived from cows since I didn’t want oink oink

Its very odd you only have cold hands and this removed it.

Are they super chilly and feel Numb cold?

From what I remember in the summer am fine with cold hands.

No numb. Just cold. Its wierd sometimes an laying on sofa cold hands then all of a Sudden I can actually feel them warming up. I take it as my thyroid needs a little help.
Hence why my total t3 always low end. Free t3 just under mid level always. IDK Endo thinks thyroid fine but gave to me cause I asked

Dr thought it was Raynaud’s. Maybe it is

What did you need the armour for? I am still learning about the thyroid …

I got the testosterone numbers. I think I can say with confidence that since I switched to shallow IM my total t and free t are at the best level. My penile sensitivity has also never been better and more consistent. BTW I inject 50 2x a week. I took lab on trough. No ai. No HCG. Also being this is trough I do have room to lower my dosage just slightly if I think the peak e2 and free t is causing bloat. @anon10035199

That’s amazing results with your dose… awesome!

There are two feel good hormones for men. Testosterone and thyroid. Both need to be normal to feel good. Armor is a replacement hormone for thyroid like cypionate for t. Look above there’s more info .
