TRIBEX and Rep Schemes

I’ve been looking into TRIBEX Gold, and have a question that I have not seen addressed. Any anecdotal/study evidence would be appreciated.

Is TRIBEX thought to be generally more effective with a high-rep, higher volume hypertrophy program, or a lower-rep, lower volume strength program? I recently read Steve McGregor’s study on TRIBEX supplementation with endurance cyclists, and the results were impressive. But have any of you found TRIBEX to be more effective with strength based training?

Man, your still young. To think you should change your training program to work better with TRIBEX is just silly.

It works the same with high rep and low rep and it works the same if you take it or you dont because I bet money you wont notice it and if you do it will be placebo effect.

If you buy supplements buy them out of convenience, like meal replacements fish oil BCAA’s and that kind of stuff, thats where you will actualy get bang for your buck. Like I said, wait until you have low test to use test boosters and dont even bother with most of the other shit out there.

Yeah, you’re probably right. I’m not look at TRIBEX just for the sake of it and just because it’s a good supplement, but sometimes I truly do feel kind of run down, energy-less, and low on sex drive. Even when I’m eating well, getting enough sleep, etc.

I would check my diet and training program before I figured it was low test.

Not enough carbs you feel sleepy and shity all the time, over training and you feel sleepy, sick, and shity all the time.

You might be able to solve the problem by adding some carbs and cutting out a shoulder day or by cutting down the work on the CNS intense exercises. For instance not deadlifting and squating in the same workout etc.

Gotta remember tho, you can eat perfect and get plenty of sleep and still get tired durring the day, naps are a pretty natural thing.

I was feeling it worst when doing Rippetoe’s “Starting Strength”. I would have to force myself to get out of my desk and go to my next class. Since switching to a body part split (first one I’ve ever done, and though they might not have science on their side, I think I’m really benefiting from the drastic change), I have felt fine. I just figured overtraining wouldn’t have been an issue, since their isn’t much volume in that program and it’s pretty simple. It is pretty CNS taxing, though, I suppose. I was eating 4500-5000 kcals a day, too.

The fact that I am 16 (so I really should have enough test, more than enough), eating that much, sleeping well, and training smart just led me to believe it might have been test.

Thanks for the replies, by the way.

It would be very unlikely that you have low test at your age. Most teenagers have test through the roof compared to other ages.
