Might be relevant on cycle but we’ve been off for years bro
Hey man, libido is even worse these days (didn’t think that was physically possible). Around August time I started a supplement protocol that consists of adrenal supplements like licorice root extract and pregnenolone and many more things that have been tailored to me by the functional medicine practitioner I spoke about above. When I started the protocol I experienced a massive boost in mood and optimism that lasted about 3 weeks then dwindled to a point that was slightly better than before I started. Experienced a VERY MINOR increase in libido at the time too. These days I find myself not getting depressed about the situation like I did before I started (I used to be very down about losing my libido but also my old self and emotions). Recently I have been pushing myself too hard at work and have become too stressed which has had some negative impact on mood, sleep, motivation and set me back a bit.
I am pretty convinced that this is adrenal/ stress related, especially after reading @ztanzanite’s posts (look at some of the posts he has made in other threads). He has 100% recovered and did so by seeing Mariano and fixing adrenal issues. The only problem is that it took him 6 years…
We have to have patience, we are in this for the long haul. My plan is to see Mariano and design my life around recovery which includes having the ability to take the foot off the gas when stress becomes excessive.
How are you doing?
Hi mate !
I have good months, bad months!! Laregely ignored it and focused on work. But this lock down has meant little work and this is back to the front of my mind.
I’m going to get all my bloods done again and post them on here and let’s see if someone can spot anything. How do I go about contacting Marino (once the world is back on track post Covid 19)
I’m fully off every supplement such as choline CDP etc so hope my bloods are a full base with no influence and finally work out what’s not working correctly.
Adrenal suppression does come up a lot so definitely something I need to investigate properly. Along with my E2 and DHT but it’s nearly been 2 years so you’d expect they would of naturally balanced by now.
Cheers bud
Hi James
I’m thinking of ordering this test for my adrenal function, does this have all the correct tests (below) It’s a home test from healthily.co.uk
“Measuring cortisol and DHEA provides an assessment of how well you manage and internalise stress. These hormones must be in proper balance with each other for optimal health, and an imbalance can be caused by prolonged stress. Cortisol levels naturally fluctuate throughout the day and so 5 samples need to be collected to show your body’s cortisol rhythm.
This saliva hormone test measures:
A steroid hormone produced by the adrenal gland in response stress. The hormone is secreted in a daily pattern rising in the early morning, peaking around 7am, and declining in the evening.
Cortisol Daily Total
Cortisol levels are generally high in the morning as we wake from a prolonged period of sleep, with an increase of up to 50% in the first half an hour after waking. This is known as the ‘cortisol awakening response’.
Cortisol Awakening Response - 8am
Cortisol levels are generally high in the morning as we wake from a prolonged period of sleep, with an increase of up to 50% in the first half an hour after waking. This is known as the ‘cortisol awakening response’.
Cortisol Awakening Response - 8.30am
Cortisol levels are generally high in the morning as we wake from a prolonged period of sleep, with an increase of up to 50% in the first half an hour after waking. This is known as the ‘cortisol awakening response’.
Cortisol Awakening Response - 9am
As the day progresses cortisol levels naturally begin to drop in a fairly constant and regular fashion that is termed a diurnal rhythm, ending up as low in the late evening.
Cortisol Afternoon - 3pm
Cortisol levels drop very low in the evening and during the early phase of sleep which allows the body to keep a regular sleeping pattern.
Cortisol Evening - 11pm
A long-acting adrenal hormone which regulates energy production, the immune system, brain chemistry, bone formation, muscle tone and libido.
DHEA Morning
This panel includes both a morning and evening DHEA measurement, to enable the hugely significant Cortisol/DHEA ratio to be identified.
DHEA Evening
Since cortisol and DHEA have opposing effects, they should be viewed together as a ratio.
DHEAS/Cortisol Ratio”
Hi Russ ,
How you getting on? Last I heard Progesterone cream has helped you greatly ?
Not sure which of you guys still read this or come back to this forum but I’ve had some blood tests done recently privately, I’m just waiting to do my adrenal tests.
Anyway here are the results , this is exactly 2 years on from the last time I touched steroids, I am not on any medication what so ever at the moment apart from Tadalafil (Cialis) for ED.
FSH 5.72 IU/L. Range: 1.5 - 12.4
LH 6.93 IU/L. Range: 1.7 - 8.6
Oestradiol 85.9 pmol/L. Range: 41 - 159
Testosterone 17.5 nmol/L. Range: 8.64 - 29
Free Testosterone 0.412 nmol/L. Range: 0.2 - 0.62
Free Androgen Index 63.41 Ratio. Range: 24 - 104
Prolactin 459 mU/L. Range: 86 - 324
Adrenal
DHEA SULPHATE 12 umol/L. Range: 4.34 - 12.2
So as you can see most things are back in range, except prolactin which was higher (again) which the bloods showed 2 years back. Tried to fix with caber back then but believe this is only temporary fix, dopamine levels must be low for prolactin to be high and I wonder if it’s still knock on effect from trenbolone effect on the reward system. Don’t know how to increase levels of dopamine or upregulate the receptors unless using choline CDP and sulbutiamine do any advice would be great.
Also DHEA sulphate near the top of range, I will be doing full adrenal function test in the next 2 weeks so hopefully shed more light.
I don’t know if issues with the adrenal glands could be the reason affecting my dopamine system.
Unfortunately I have to ask the internet these questions because no doctor in the UK is interested, so once again thank you for any advice you can give unfortunately I just can’t afford to go private either, I really wish I could.

Hi mate, who are you going through for your adrenal labs? If you haven’t purchased them already, then I’ll recommend you go through a guy I have worked with. He is really good.
Interesting that your DHEA S was high - mine was low. I would have expected them to match. Will be interesting to see what your results come back as. My prolactin was also high but I really don’t think that is the source of our problem.
I’d recommend you re-read @ztanzanite 's posts. He’s the only one who has fixed this and has worked with Mariano (probably the best there is for this). As soon as the travel ban lifts, I’m off to see Mariano too.
Hello bud…
According to your posted labs, it appears as if your HPTA (Hypo/ Gonadal) is recovered. However, your prolactin is elevated. You are correct in your thought that it is a result of lowered dopamine ( barring a pituitary adenoma). In the early stages of adrenal dysfunction, it is common to see elevated DHEA marker. It is believed by many Physc that Chronically elevated NE is the cause of lowered dopamine. Chronically elevated NE is a consequence of adrenal system dysfunction.
Repairing the adrenal system is a process and takes a long time, but can be done. Unlike many other lab markers, adrenal labs can mislead because each adrenal hormone can metabolize and steal From each other As needed.
Heal the adrenals, stay calm and rest…
Hi James , I’ve ordered the test online from medichecks but will need a dr to examine the results to please recommended your guy. Thank you again.
I will also post the results on here when I get them for you to compare to yours etc.
Good to hear your planning to see Mariano, heard very good things about him, have you already had an online consultation with him?
@ztanzanite great to see you reply, you gave hope to so many of us! We really appreciate it. Hopefully when I have more results I can post.
What does the NE stand for? Sorry if that’s a stupid question.
Many thanks
Holy shit the recovered one has made an appearance. @ztanzanite good to hear from you. Still fully recovered?
Could you shed any further light on the issue within the brain that we are trying to fix by healing the adrenals? You mentioned before that it was the PVN. I can’t seem to find much about this online.
Also, how well acquainted did Mariano seem with this problem?
Cheers
@lufc12 norepinephrine
I wonder if Wellbutrin would do that.
Hi James do you have the name of the dr you saw in regards to your adrenal glands?
Cheers pal
Dr Kalish of the Kalish Institute. You can find him on Youtube. He does telemedicine only.
He’s not cheap though and I don’t know if he’ll accept the tests you’ve done; he orders his own comprehensive tests.
What did your adrenal tests come back with? I’d be interested to see the labwork.
How’s it going? Had all been going well for me since my last post but tanked last couple of weeks! So strange how that happens , depressing
Hey bro can i get in touch with you privately?
email me or something? i really need to talk to you about this. i’d really appreciate that as im going through the same problem , cheers bud
Who’s this to bud?

to you brother
any chance i can get your email or whatsapp bro?
i cant find any private messaging here
This forum doesn’t have private messages. Members can post their e-mail in the About Me section of their profile if they’re open to off-site communication.
And I’ll say this again: You really need to stop looking all over the place to gather more info. A bunch of people have given you advice in multiple threads already. You just need to actually put in the time and effort to implement it.
To be clear: If you bump another thread that’s over a year old, like you tried yesterday and tried several times before, you will be suspended.
I’ll create another email mate for this stuff and put it here.
