I feel very bad for Zimmerman. Poor guy was just trying to do the right thing and got caught up in this racially charged political shit storm. There is no way in hell that jury is going to convict him.

I wasn’t that invested in the first place. I just care even less now. The point in time changed is what I’ll say. A lot of other things changed with me in that time span. The whole thing has just lost any ion of flavor that it once had… at least with me.
Just wanted to hop in and drop my 2 cents. One of the major reasons why past criminal activity wouldn’t be admissible is because key to Zimmerman’s case is his thinking at the time. There is no way he could have known that Martin had a criminal past. By making that information admissible as evidence you are re-writing history and justifying Zimmerman’s actions after the fact.
Whether or not someone has a criminal past only matters if that is known at the time. Zimmerman’s actions are based solely on his observation of Martin and the past experiences in the neighborhood.
In all honestly the stand your ground law and how it’s handled is really the problem. Under all circumstances where a death is involved it should be vetted by the correct people. Cops shouldn’t be able to make that call at the scene because you introduce issues that the legal system was setup to avoid. There is a reason why we have a court system.
Side note people saying it was Zimmerman’s Neighborhood are showing their bias, remember Martin’s father also lived in the neighborhood. He had as much right to be there as Zimmerman.

Also had Prosecutor Angela Corey not been coming up for re-election then she might not have pushed this quite as hard either. Alan Dershowitz called her out on this at Harvard to which she responded by threatening to sue Harvard and they essentially told her to piss off.
