Looks like Devastator from the other pics I’ve seen, but I can’t really say for sure.

Either way, I’m frigging stoked!

EDIT: Never mind, Big_Boss beat me to it.

People are going to be a little butt hurt over Soundwave…I was at first…BUT…I really don’t see how a big ass tape deck would fit into this.

1)He is a satellite(makes sense)

@)He will be voiced by Frank Welker(original Soundwave voice).

Who the fuck uses TAPES today? That would make as much sense as making him a record player. I think the change is a good one. He needs to be able to steal info from long range and in this day and age, that either makes him a satellite…or a blu tooth head set.
See, these are the kinds of changes that I’m glad they made. I know it’s easy to get all nostalgic and get disappointed when they change from the original Transformers that we all grew up with, but you have to admit that if they had stuck with some of the original designs, it just would have been silly.

This movie looks so damn tight…

I was thinking it was but I couldnt really tell.

so that means there will be other constructicons in there too because he was made up of 6 different little robots .

scavenger
bonecrusher
hook
scraper
mixmaster

I remember the yellow devastator back in early 90s

I’ve read on the Transformers 2 blog that Devastator will actually be make up of 7 different Constructicons, but there be 8 total Constructicons in the movie.

You can see the full list here:

SPOILER ALERT!!!*********

damn…son…you’re young buck…we’re all about the green and purple…lol. But yes…Constructicons…and I’m assuming that the big wheelie transformer in the trailers is one of them.

I just noticed the three jets at about 1:56…could this be the original seekers: Starscream,Skywarp, and Thundercracker?
Sure looks like it. Also reminds me of how tight Skywarp was (when you used the IR decoder on the back of his box, his abilities clearly dwarfed Starscream’s)
Big_Boss wrote:
How about him being a big ass Plasma TV with his minions as high-def receiver, speakers, and PS3…ehhh??? j/k’n
Hilarious. Yeah, a satellite nowadays does make sense.

Yeah…Skwarp’s abilities were the shit…too bad he was such a dumb ass prankster…lol.

so,Vader that link says its Demolishor a red excavator

hmmm I never heard of him./nevermind hes the dude that forms the body

still I do have to say the first one is really the only movie in a long time to actually get a response out of me.

I was sitting there blurting out things like WHoA!!! WTF!!! and NO WAY!!!

stuff like that
these have to be my favorite movies.

and yes they are good films but really I have no idea why I love em so much.
is it a form of mind control from the media?
lol

and ya I am a young’un I grew up with em in the late 80s era of transformers.

I dont remember much more before 85 in general.

No one could fuck with the Insecticons or the Dinobots. That spoiler link provided by Vader had a bit of info that was different from what I was told. Hmmm now I am really intrigued.

How can John Turturro voice a transformer? Wasn’t he the head guy from sector 7 in the first movie?

You know… I think Im gonna stay out of this thread until the I see the movie. I want it all to be fresh you guys are gonna kill me with all these tidbits.

Also Soundwave FUCKIN BETTER be in this movie in some form or fashion or there is gonna be hell to pay. I don’t care how they quantify him being in this modern movie he just better be there.

You mean that little funky looking robot thing that turned into a radio. Nah that couldn’t be him.

Unless your talking about the Animated version then of course I remember him:

“Sound Wave superior, Constructicons inferior!”

frenzy was originally one of the cassette tapes that came with soundwave.
Ravage, Rumble, Frenzy, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, and Frenzy

I like him in Transformers. I still haven’t seen Indiana Jones simply because…I’m scared. I don’t want to ruin that childhood image of that character in my head.

Labeouf can act though…he just isn’t one of the best and he doesn’t have the “seasoning” to pull off many lead roles at this point without people rolling their eyes.

The movie Eagle Eye is proof of this. He was supposed to be playing some guy in his late 20’s so that there would be some chemistry between him and the lead actress. Instead, it was like she was babysitting him the whole movie and he never filled that role out completely.
I agree, I think he was great in Transformers and provided the majority of the laugh out loud moments in it and really added to the movie… but he’s just not old enough to be leading man material yet, and I’m not convinced he has that serious ‘I can F you up’ edge to him that a serious leading man needs.

Also, you’re right to avoid the new Indiana Jones film… The first 85% of the film is awesome. Pure classic Indy, just what you would want from an Indy film.

Then the ending comes and ruins the whole thing and you wish you had never even started watching it in the first place.
PimpBot5000 wrote:
Thundercats would have potential if done right.
You’re definitely not the only person who has been thinking this. It would be awesome. Or it could be awesome if it was done as well as Transformers.

I want Dinobots in the new movie.

If that tiny little boom box looking thing was supposed to be Sound Wave then I have to say Fail on that one. I think it’s in the best interest for both the movie goers and the film crew to try to follow the storyline as much as the cartoon as possible. After all, it is what we as movie goers will judge it on. I thought Megatron should have been the cannon he was in the original series.
