Hey all I’m currently doing the research with the hopes of beginning my first cycle, and wanted your opinions concerning in what ways, if at all, your training programmes change when on a cycle, compared to when off.
I’m currently getting great results with Schwarzenegger’s blueprint programme. I’ve read that on a cycle perhaps much higher rep ranges are valuable with a view to achieve as much hypertrophy in the target muscle as possible.
Why did you post in this section to learn about how we train when it’s apparant that natties who have never even popped a dbol know so much more about how to train on steroids than us?
All we do is sit on the couch and eat nachos. When the gainz slow, that’s when it’s time to up another gram of test or pop more A bombs. I had a friend who prepared for a national powerlifting meet like this and he went on to total elite amidst the outcries of disgruntled natties who actually trained hard to get their 1300 totals.
Ok seriously, there’s not much difference. What works for you natty will work for you assisted. The same principles apply. And you are confusing high reps with maximising the pump, which should be your goal even when natty. It’s just that you see results faster when assisted. If your MMC is good, it will be even better assisted.
If you are still getting “great results” at the moment, I suggest you hold off until you’ve milked your current gains.

i have to echo the advice, if you’re making gains, then hold off on AAS…
AAS usually allows the user to train with more volume and more often. i’m not aware that high reps would be more useful… if anything, the ehnanced gene expression would suggest that keeping reps a bit lower would be the way to train.
everyone is different when it comes to training you gotta experiment and try different things but if you are seeing results then keep doing what your doing. the age old saying that we have all herd time and time again on them stupid inspiration memes “if you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got”
I train the same on cycle, on PCT, off cycle, whatever.
Only real difference is when I’m on I have more energy in the gym so I tend to do more intensity techniques like drop sets or whatever, but the basic workout structure is the same. I’m a volume junky for the most part.
That’s some great information thank you to all you replied. I’ll keep researching but I want to be huge fast so the temptation of going assisted is hard to hold off
Cheers!

First thing I did when becoming assisted was try a super high rep program (15-20 rep range) like all the IFBBs do in their videos.
IMO - what has worked for you when not OFF will work great while ON… If you have never tried bulking up natty then dont wste good juice…
But if you want to race Im currently in week 2 of my cycle and running Jim Stopanis 12 weeks to size program…I like it, its fun new and a good mix of strength & size… Dont just do your same old shit…When it comes to lifting programs its not a monagomus relationship… variety bro
