probably shouldn’t admit this but i have a couple pairs of power pants. i bought them after i tore my adductor. the first pair i didn’t like because they didn’t come up high enough around my gut. the second pair were power pants but they were higher. can’t remember the name though. they didn’t give me any help with the weight but they did keep my groin area tight and warm.

but i didn’t make eye contact so it doesn’t count. it was a moment of weakness. although i still pick them up out of my drawer and sniff them every once in awhile.

This is a cool idea.

Right now I have to pass on this unless we can subsitute A rack pull version for the Deadlifts due to a groin strain/tear I have now. Mt range of motion under load is Fubared.

Everything is else should not be a problem for the reps and time it is asking for.

I will do this with say a 550 rack pull from top of knee. That is a low as I can go right now. How does that sound?

Got the first part of an EFS order in yesterday that included Monster mini bands. Had 2 of my clients when doing rack pulls from just below kness. They loved’em. To set up I put the bar through the bands and you then just put your foot into the “stirrup” and put your foot to the floor.

At 27-30 inches of stretch each band has around 75lbs of resistance at top of movement added to the bar and starting from like 55lbs.

These are going to be great for Benching and military pressing also.

My plan until my groin heals is to slowly lower the pins for my rack pulls until I am pulling from the floor like Paul Andersen did with sqauts and Bob Peoples did with Deadlifts.

My secondary lift will be a true ATG sqaut when I get the power pants. Starting real light. Done in a 8x3 Dynamic format with bands added to help top load the movement.

do you have access to an abductor adductor machine? when i tore my adductor it really helped me rehab that area fast.

another really good rehab exercise for that area is reverse band squats. i find pin work can actually irritate the area. i prefer to just use the bands to take some of the weight off the area as i get lower. that way you are still working the area, keeping scare tissue from developing while still overloading the top end.

also, you will find, even with power pants, that your groove is going to change. your going to have to do that “sit back thing” that all the cheating whores have to do to get to depth. otherwise the briefs are going to throw you forward.

Nice. I’m making a new set of stickers for the ones at my gym now.

Max effort lower body.

Rack pulls from pin set just below knee. Worked up to 455+monster mini’sx3 reps. Man just a change in 1 pin lower and it is humbling to say the least. Then mini’s at the top of the movement were at 80lbs resistance each.

Now to the good part. SQAUTS yes you heard right. w/u’s all with monster minis on the bar. I set the pins so when I am ATG the bar is on the pins (Andersen Sqauts). 275x3(+monster mini’s) for 8 sets. NO PAIN!!!NO PAIN!!!

This band work is fun.

All work done with just a belt. I am writing this the morning after and I feel all over body sore. Great feeling.
The Mini’s are the new pro short line from EFS. Will be ordering the Average and light bands also in the Short line.

Does this make me a Gear Whore? LOL
edit: Forgot to make clear the M.Mini’s were on the bar for sqauting for the top sets.

I don’t know that just a belt makes you a ‘whore’ or not. I use just a belt (and sleeves and wrist wraps). I prefer to think of myself as just a little slutty.

When over 600lbs and doing high rack pulls I use straps. From now on no strap work anymore.

On the second question I will state what gear I am using if any. On to the whore thing as long as it helps me get stronger raw I don’t care if I have to lift in a clown suit to get the job done.

For the record: My version of Raw = Belt and Knee wraps/sleeves for sqauts. Belt and wrist wraps for bench. Belt for deadlift. compression shorts/lycra worn is for safety and to keep the testes close and not hanging to help prevent a hernia.
