I find the effort needed to recover from a 6day PPL is unsustainable. I can do it for 8-10 weeks with great results before I stop being able to recover because life gets in the way of a totally dialed rest/diet program.
Exactly my point. If you applied the effort needed to make it work, you couldn’t apply it for 7 years straight.
Through the many decades I have lifted weights I have seen a fair number of genetically challenged men pretty much waste a year or so trying to build what it would take three generations of proper genetic breeding to breed out the genetic hand they were dealt. Nothing worked. Some even took the AAS leap and if they didn’t tell you they were on a cycle, you would never know it.
For 7 years of training, the OP’s pics looks more like he never trained than if if had even trained 6 months.
Sure he should straighten out his diet and continue exercising. His primary focus should be life extension.
Folks, you observe the effort put forward here in asking for help: extrapolate that the same amount of effort has been employed in achieving physical transformation.
They want a pill and powder solution.
Yeah it’s obviously too much frequency, I just would’ve thought someone would have figured out the right place to slide the volume and intensity dials to in order to get some good results with it.
THIS is where my mind went. Whenever someone starts bringing up bloodwork and levels and all that nonsense, they’re not looking for anything reasonable.
Just my opinion - these people are eating shit and living unhealthy lifestyles, even if you see them in the gym every day. I would estimate that the true amount of people who are LITERALLY so genetically damned that “nothing works”, if you took a sample of the population and rounded it to the nearest whole number, is 0%.
Healthy eating and exercise does different things to different people, sure, but the “nothing works” people ALWAYS have something that they’re doing that’s working against them, barring any serious medical concerns.
They probably have. I’m sure there’s plenty of people who’ve got big and strong with a 6 day PPL. But there’s plenty more who will never put forth the effort needed to make it work.
I’ve personally got bigger, stronger and leaner on terrible, terrible programs by working myself ragged. And completely failed to improve in any noticeable way by half assing smart programs.
Fully concur with the content of this post. So many dudes that “want their levels checked” won’t do ANY of the things that naturally improve health, vigor and testosterone.
You wanna maximize test? Live a low stress lifestyle, eat healthful food 99% of the time, get adequate sleep, stay hydrated with water, engage in regular exercise TO INCLUDE CARDIO, abstain from recreational drugs. Watch how many dudes who have “tried everything” haven’t tried that.
Agree with this 100% by the way. I don’t believe there is anyone so genetically fucked that they are doomed to be 31% bodyfat.
I think we’re all thinking the same thing here @ChongLordUno.
Get some burpees down yer neck
Absolutely, we’ve just gotta get them on the internet to improve the ratio a bit, haha.
Also - I will never not find it weird when people who don’t like what they see in the mirror go get a dexa scan, much less multiple dexa scans.
All these scans are so worthless, because no matter what number you get, people will say “You don’t LOOK like X%”
Dude, what does a percent LOOK like?
I’m coming to this realization now. Wish I’d have listened earlier.
That is the general look of my workouts throughout the '70’s, '80’s, and '90’s. And most other serious guys I worked out with.
You have not reached your genetic limit. You have reached your lifestyle limit.
You can change two things and be a different man in six months.
You have not reached your genetic limit. You have reached your lifestyle limit
Perfectly summed up here.
You have not reached your genetic limit. You have reached your lifestyle limit.
You can change two things and be a different man in six months.
I will be the one who is of a totally different opinion. I believe the OP is wasting his time. After 7 years of anything remotely similar to lifting weights would yield a better result than the OP has achieved.
Let him prove me wrong!
IMO, OP might be the best off focusing his efforts on fat loss. Yeah, his training probably sucks, but my training wasn’t the best for the first 3 years, but I for sure looked like I lifted. The best thing for aesthetics he could do is going from 30% BF to around 15%.
but the “nothing works” people ALWAYS have something that they’re doing that’s working against them,
It’s one of those those things, a bit of a pet peeve of mine. When somebody is looking at everybody else and thinking that they’re just walking on sunshine and have it so easy, they are 100% lazy. Not a single time, ever, have I seen somebody who runs their mouth like that put forth the required effort. “All the guys at the gym…” .
They perceive their own effort, in any amount, as much greater than anybody else’s.
What is with 6-day PPL’s? I’m a big fan of “everything works”, and maybe I’m imagining things but that structure in general seems to just leave sorrow and despair in its wake.
Damn, what’s with the hate? Lol. I would attribute 80% of my gains to 6-day PPL training.
