It does not simulate the average fat guy.

Dude it is not 1970, football players now stay in shape year around.
Ohio sucks by the way.

Wtf is in texas?
And bs on football players staying in shape year round. You saw how many injuries there were in the nfl last season…all due to dudes sitting around doing as little as possible.
O H I O
I am in Texas.
I know last season cause of the lock out, BUT normally they have had OTA’s to keep them in shape for years to avoid the injuries like last year.
I am also from East Tennessee so my awesomeness is doubled.

I want to know more about this line:
"Before Fit2Fat2Fit, the self-described foodie wife would make treats, and Manning wouldn’t even look at them.
“Now he craves them,” she says with a laugh."
So before the junk food binge and weight gain he had no taste for treats, but after the experiment he craves them? That’s really interesting.

I’d imagine if he keeps eating healthy enough again the cravings will go away?
They can go away just like they can come back. When I was heavier, I was eating foods that I don’t now. I just don’t have a taste for many sweets or even a lot of bread or sodas. It was way different when I was 300lbs. If I went back to eating like that though, I would eventually get the same cravings.

LMFAO, this thread got derailed QUICK. I can’t stop laughing at that avi Derek452.
Once you cut out certain foods for a while, at least for me I notice that I just don’t crave it. Cut out things like soda and candy for at least 3 weeks and see if you’ll still want it afterwards.

There are whole parts of being fat that he didn’t get since his experiment was so short.
Depression
health issues
Not getting a job because of weight and appearance
Those are just to name a few
He enjoyed publicity and a degree of fame during his year.
Not being forced into reclusion by friends…
His experiment would be more credible had he gained 150 pounds over 10 years…or even 5 to really marinate in the lifestyle
As of now though he’s just an athlete who got lazy as shit in the offseason. Then got in shape during preseason

Former 50% BF dude checkin in. Agree with CR.
re: craving, I can confirm, they never go away 100%, but they get manageable. Neither does the ability to eat like a fatty. It’s a dark passenger that says with you forever.
That said, this experience will make him more empathic as a trainer. After I lost 100 lbs, many of my friends wanted to train with me and I had exactly the idea of what they were going through; coming from a guy who had to hold his breath to tie his shoes and would get tons of “first dates” and never a second one as soon as the girls saw my midsection.
And if he ever does a proper dirty bulk, he’ll probably see huge gainz.
