Trader Joe's Store Attract too Many Whites?!

For sure, and that is why I presented it really. I was trying to look at the situation if race were removed, and see if I thought there was undue discrimination…

This is really what it comes down to in the end for me to be honest. White, Black or in between, whole lot of money left on the table here.
There’s an angle here beyond racism, I just can’t see it yet. Racism is still definitely involved, but pockets are surely gettin’ lined. Guessing ol TJ wouldn’t play ball.

I always find racist ignorance like this extra retarded sense there are over twice as many poor white people as black people. If you are black, it is more likely that you are poor than if you are white, BUT if you are poor it’s more likely you are white than any other race. Bigots like these people that substitute “black” for poor in thought and argument are actually completely statistically ignorant as well as well as racist. If you actually were going to associate a race with the demographic of poor people, it would be a white person.

Speaking of protecting a culture. Boy how times have changed.

When whites tried to preserve their culture about half a century ago:

There is no “quick fix”, or else this problem would have been solved decades ago. In MY opinion, the root of any successful community is the families, the schools and LOCALLY owned and operated small businesses. If I were king for a day, I would get rid of the teacher’s unions, fire all the shitty teachers, invest two hundred or three hundred percent more in education, early childhood development, and increasing the number of social workers available to help families and WORK WITH the community. I would create incentives for teacher performance which was ACTIVITY driven, not “RESULTS” driven (when you manage your activities properly, the results take care of themselves).

I would ensure that FREE reliable safe child care was available for people who needed it for work or for school (preferably both) and I would ensure that people received help, support and grant money (not loans) that would empower them to achieve higher and higher levels of success through better education. For those not ready for college, the same opportunity would exist for remedial education. I would create tax incentives (some form of tax credit) for people with both a job AND going to school - yes, I would give them money for that.

I would also make small business loans readily available to LOCAL entrepreneurs who wished to start businesses and would ensure that the bullshit red tape with most zoning departments was streamlined. I would get the fucking regulations out of the way and allow small business to flourish.

I would legalize marijuana up to an Oz.

In dangerous neighborhoods I would implement FIRST a community outreach program that would allow a peaceful mediation between gangs and provide an opportunity for gang members to have a second chance to do something positive. Once they have been given a second chance, if they continue to behave in a criminal manner, I would come down with an iron fist and purge the community of violence.

The best part about it is that I wouldn’t raise taxes on anyone, I would pay for this by eliminating all the money we give to other countries and ending corporate tax breaks. If company “A” wants to build a plant somewhere, it would be a level playing field - they would pay the same taxes no matter where they went. I would trim all the pork and instal term limits and end the ability for special interest groups to hijack our political process.

It is fucking stupid, period. Loss of jobs, loss of tax revenue and loss of curbside appeal.

Whole lot of money left on the table here. For an empty lot.

Maybe it was not so stupid. Maybe it was a calculated move by a few under the guise of standing up for their race and against gentrification but in reality they were trying to land a sweet deal for themselves to make a lot of money.
This isn’t a black or white issue, this is about green and how a “community organizer” is going to manufacture a protest against TJ’s until he can figure out how he’s going to get paid.

From the article:
Roy Jay, president of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon, asked Patrick Quinton, executive director of the Portland Development Commission, to sell the site to the chamber for $500,000 in an email Thursday.

That’s the sweetheart price the PDC offered Majestic Realty for the two-acre property at Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Alberta Street.

The property was appraised at $2.8 million, but the PDC said it agreed to the lower price to spark a grocery project rather than a denser development.

Bingo.

god I hate white people.

lol. I remember working at a commercial studio back in the late 90’s, and I was probably one of the only white guys on this certain production. One day, after discussing the stereotypical differences between races (my black friend Chris had grown quite fond of borrowing a lot of my Punk CDs), a few of the ‘brothers’ decided that I needed to learn to “walk black”.

Just when I was getting the hang of alternating swinging one arm in front and then behind my body with each bouncing step, the Head Producer walked into the room with one of those ‘exactly what the hell are you all doing?’ looks. One of my fondest memories, just a bunch of guys of different races mocking all the BS that people cling to as means of differentiation and ‘culture’ and having a damn fun time doing it.

The day of the OJ verdict, I recall being at the student-athlete lounge at USC.

Tons of riot cops on campus, ready in case shit popped off. After the Rodney King Verdict, LAPD was taking no chances at all, and I figured I might have to spend the night in the locker room if this goes south.

The room filled with athletes from every sport we had: football, baseball, women’s volleyball (yum), tennis, you name it.

When the verdict was announced, all the brothas cheered “yes !”, while everyone else had the “wtf just happened” expression on their faces.

It was the most definitive scenario where the racial divide was present. In the huddle, in the weightroom, on the practice field, it really did feel like family. It was a sad day, it didn’t just turn strangers against each other, but friends too.

Isn’t that a fashionable thing to do these days, even while being white oneself?

Same exact scenario at Fresno State…I remember thinking the same exact thing.

We have to look at all the evil the White man has brought upon this world and the right reasons of why he should be hated.

 1. Discovery of the atom.
 2. The light bulb.
 3. The laser.
 4. The airplane.
 5. The railroad.
 6. Modern air conditioning.
 7. The computer transistor.
 8. The telescope.
 9. The microscope.
 10. The camera.
 11. Landing on space.
 12. Multiple languages that he put in written form, even putting languages of another race in written form for them.
 13. Tripling lifespans of some other people.
 14. Famine relief.
 15. The Sierra Club.

Actually, I have to stop. This will go on for far too long. I just wanted to put down some good reasons to hate the people who made this computer I am using to post on this forum possible.

I was in prison during the OJ trial and let me tell you, as a white person, I was very happy with the verdict. You see, if it had gone the other way, the majority of the black inmates had plans to shank every white inmate they could until they were stopped. You know, for solidarity and all.

OJ being found not guilty quite possibly saved my life.

“if the glove don’t fit, you MUST acquit!” LOL

lol. I’ve had plenty of black friends and coworkers over the years, and while race isn’t something we usual talk about (just like we don’t discuss religion, because you are who you are as an individual), a couple have told me stories where they’ve experienced instances of racism. Still, when certain topics like the OJ verdict come up, as one of them specifically told me a while ago: “sometimes, I’m almost embarrassed to be black.”

Of course my friend who spoke this realizes that he doesn’t speak for everyone of his race, which is a very astute point.

Unfortunately whites have done a good job in going to war with and mistreating each other throughout the ages.

All kinds of white people shop at Trader Joe’s. They have an assortment of crackers.
