Haven’t updated in a good while, though that’s partially because I had nothing new to report.
So here’s the latest from perhaps the past eight weeks:
After a while on MENT only I started to really feel signs of low e2. If I was vigilant about my HCG it would be ok, but if I skipped a day or modified the amount downward I would feel not excellent. Blood work kept coming back normal, so health wise it was all good. But mentally low e2 drags on you (or me at least) and it took months to really become bad enough to address.
Added back test just to see how I felt and yep, life was sunny again. So test 100mg/w and MENT 2mg/d was the protocol.
Cut was meh. I’m shitty at cutting, it’s just who I am. Started at 189 and ended at 181. Very disappointed in how it went. That was five weeks, but here’s the catch: I had been cutting for a previous six weeks and ping-ponged between 189-186, always always always landing back at the high number no matter what. So I tried a new approach and it worked well enough. Will likely revisit that this winter.
Currently at 184 and starting a slow, lower surplus bulk with test 200, MENT 70, and adding DHB 300 this week. I’ve designed like six different versions of this blast and finally chose the one that I thought would be the most interesting with the fewest complications. We shall see. Last two weeks I’ve been gradually upping the MENT and have no side effects yet. 7.5mg/d is a nice spot where it doesn’t change my BP from the baseline 2mg dose but it gives me some added fullness.
Overall I think I’ve improved some, but it’s all on the margins. I look bigger at 184 than I did at 189, so that’s cool. Shoulders, traps, back, arms all look thicker. Chest is still an embarrassing nightmare that makes me want to never go to the beach ever again.
Anyway, doing measurements this week (hopefully) and will use that to track progress. The plan with the gradual MENT increase was to keep the numbers from being skewed by a big jump in water and glycogen that you get from that first burst of hormones in the beginning few weeks. My thought was that if I normalize that and then take measurements I’ll get more accurate results.
