Top Elusive Movie Bad Asses

The movie stars that play intimidating, confident alph amales who signal dominance and beat up the bad guys (or the good guys) without being particularly large or martial arts wizards in reality.

Do not mention some big household names like Pacino or De Niro because these are character actors that go by their face.

I’m going to list just three;

  1. Patrick Swayze.
Of the “Road House” fame and a few other titles. This is somewhat self-explanatory.

  2. James Remar.
One of my favourites. He was Rayden in “Mortal Kombat Annihilation”. Fought Chuck Norris in “Texas Ranger” and almost won. Was sort of a mentor to Van Damme for a moment in “The Quest”.

  3. Linden Ashby.
Not very well known but he played Johnny Cage in “Mortal Kombat”. Most or a lot of his fighting was doubled. He supposedly did a little bit of martial arts but not very recognized relative to costars and the role. Also appeared in a relatively late episode of MacGyver and lost a fight to MacGyver in the episode. Was in his mid 30’s when starring in MK although the character was supposed to be in his late 20’s. Has aged well.

  1. Harvey Keitel…Bad Liteunant, Resevoir Dogs etc. etc.

He always plays a hardass and does a good of it.

Agreed. He’s such a terminal fuckup, yet so hilarious. I always got a kick out of the scene where he’s “policing” the variety store being held up…

“Bud. Highboy”

Alan Rickman.

Edward Cullen.

Oh wait! It says bad ass not lame ass. In that case… Michael Jai White. Because I just watched “Blood and Bone” not so long ago.

.

Lee Van Cleef- from the good, bad, and the ugly and a shitload of other westerns
Yang Sze - bolo from enter the dragon
Kjell Nilsson- Lord Humongous
