The forum also accepts UTF-8 encoding. Although that’s even harder to type by hand than the “&…;” HTML sequences, unless you’ve got some kind of automatic converter.
I’ve also noticed that some people seem to get their quotes and apostrophes systematically replaced by question marks. Could it have something to do with the OS/Locale/Browser combination?
