The fact that we have 30 some posts already about a fighter simply signing a deal shows why Tito is a good buy. Love him, hate him, think he’s washed up or viable, Tito is the only possible guy Affliction could sign to get this kind of attention.
He will get the buy rates for a few fights for sure.
From what I read, he doesn’t even have the contract yet. Affliction said they hadn’t even started negotiations when Tito was talking about how big it was going to be. Who knows?

Good for Tito! The UFC is cool, but their time is running out, they have an outdated business model that screws fighters, and clearly gives us very very limited fights.
I mean come on, how many time do we have to see the same fighters fight the same fighters, wait for someone new to sign and then watch them fight the same fighters. Horodecki just signed with Affliction as well.
He sees the future of this sport is going to be out of the UFC. The UFC is becoming about as reputable as the WWE, they have 3 stars that they are banking on right now, and thats it. (GSP, Silva, Penn) and if they don’t get it right with them, they are done.
Slightly overstated. Look at the rankings for any weight class. Majority are in the UFC. Who else is as deep?
Save for the HW division which has Big Nog and…well, it has Big Nog.

Gonzaga and Werdum are also in the top ten on Sherdog.
Inside MMA has 3 of the top 10, 8 of top 20, and 10 of the top 25 in the UFC.
I also think Carwin, Velasquez, and Lesnar will quickly move up the ranks as they get more fights. It appears that they are being groomed as the future of the division. The only disadvantage they have is not fighting anyone outside the UFC. If the UFC were smart they would sign some free agent HWs to give these guys more quality fights. It appears they left the door open for Silvia and Arlovski to come back. I would think Cro Cop, Roy Nelson, Pedro Rizzo, Jeff Monson, Rothwell, or Overeem would be atainable for a fight or two. Even Mark Hunt, Marc Coleman, or Dan Severn could provide a name for these guys to beat.
I would definatly let Carwin, Velasquez, and Lesnar have at some mid teir guys before squaring of against Gonzaga, Werdum, or Noguiera.
If the UFC is weak in any division, it is definatly HW but they are still competative with other organizations.
he’s a pompus bitch who makes more money than I could ever dream of and is one million times the MMA fighter and wrestler I could ever hope to be. He shrewdly understands how to market himself to cross over pro wrestling fans even though he has long since past his physical prime as a young athlete, and I’m sure cries himself to sleep in one of the 3 mansions he owns, along with his Mercedes SLR, with his porn star wife because some people on the internet don’t like him.
