I saw an ad for a magnetic gym bag and water bottle holder. Neat idea. Just slap your bag to a rack or machine and all your crap is off the floor and easily accessible.
But I like the bags I already have and don’t need a $75 bottle holder.
So, I picked up a couple of magnets with carabiner swivels from Amazon (FINDMAG brand, two for $10). These are rated for 60 lbs horizontal tension and 170 vertical.
Tested one out this morning and it worked great. Comes with a little backing thing to prevent scratching, but you don’t have to use it. Popped it onto a rack and it held nicely, making it easy to grab chalk, Surge, straps, etc. It attached well to the treadmill too.
Weird tip, but handy.
