Timeline of Bouncing Back After TRT

The success stories of dropping TRT entirely. Was HCG used? How long did it take to feel better? Any major down time?

No success story here, stopping cold turkey and 4.5 weeks later, restarted my HPTA.

I stopped about 2 weeks ago, feel better now than when on, let ya know in another few weeks. Can’t imagine anything drastic after 10 weeks and a low dose.

Week 4 was the worst, you haven’t hit rock bottom yet.

How long were you on before stopping? Did you take hcg while on or anything when you stopped? I took hcg for over half the time i was on and now taking enclomiphene, my balls feel roughly the same size as they did prior so im hoping its not all the bad, last night i didnt sleep much, but daytime felt fine, a little anxious.

Overall well being? Anything specific that stands out to you?

Did you also try an extremely low weekly dose before calling it quits?

Almost 3 years.

I was only on for 10 weeks… mostly 120 a week , 3 weeks 150… last injection was 60mg. First 3 weeks was without hcg, stopped hcg after 8th week about, balls feel normal I think, they aren’t small and are hanging. Today is day 13 since last shot, slept like poop last night, some days after first week felt a bit sleepy, but overall not bad. I can’t imagine anything terrible or any real crash, we are stopping low dose test, not like coming off a 750mg a week 3 month stint, our levels were relatively in the normal range.

But as of the last 3-4 days my cognitive function seems to be like way better. I swear I felt dumber on TRT… I’ll definitely update this post again, but between using the hcg, the short stint and now enclophimene not expecting anything to bad. At worst I imagine 1-3 days in the coming weeks of maybe more tired than usual and worse sleep, but that’s about it.

I would think you would definitely experience worse symptoms coming off compared to being on 10 weeks. But overall was it really that bad?

So cognition is one of the main standouts for you in regards to feeling better off TRT?

But now you are more fatigued you are saying without TRT.

What about libido/erections?

Also I meant like you never tried to go super low something like 80mg a week for a while if not 100mg? Why did you decide to quit?

Libido is fine right now… same with erections… a little more fatiqued right now, which is expected but I expect in another few weeks that will all be gone. Yes, off TRT I feel normal again mentally, I had some days I felt ok but many days of something feeling off when on TRT… like off mentally…

For me I don’t think it’s worth it if I have to donate blood already at 10 week mark. I rather try out enclophimene which many people have success with or perhaps do nothing and just try to improve my free test through the gym and lifestyle. My total was 550 or so, the free was on the low end, but normal low end. I felt less irritable on TRT but also felt off many days and just didnt feel like myself.

If i ever gotten back on for any reason I would definitely shoot for 80-90mg a week to start, that may be very well why I felt off, maybe 120 was just a tad to much.

Also on TRT most nights sleep was terrible. A few good ones but way more bad than good.

I was fatigued for about a week and had popping in clicking joints.

How was libido and erections on TRT???

why ya gonna stop, to get libido back?

More or less. It may be me causing more chaos in my head, but honestly besides physique TRT has become a chore for me and trying to make it work. Libido/elections big part of it.

Here is the thing I can admit I had problems pre TRT. Sleep, energy, libido, anxiety, etc.

Instead of alleviating those symptoms TRT makes them worse, or no improvement. Now before some know it all says “oh well you expect TRT to fix everything”, NO I would gladly take no improvement in my previous symptoms if it also meant it didn’t make them worse!

Erections were hit and miss, mostly good days… some days weaker erections.I havent had issues prior to trt, but sex was less enjoyable on TRT… overall the negatives outweighed the positives.

If you see no improvement or worse than come off. Try to improve your levels through fitness and diet, also enclomiphene may be an option, I felt like that would have been the better option as I still produced testosterone naturally at a good level, just needed a slight boost.

Ya see wasnt that bad.

I always wanted to try something I rarely see in TRT treatment and that’s trying more of a HCG base with a small dose of T, we usually see the opposite though.

Also im someone that doesnt like to take pharmaceuticals… test was 1 thing, but then adding arimidex, i started to get bad acne, suspect high dht, what than finistride? I didnt want to live always having to take a drug to counteract something else. It would be never ending on top of all the extra hassel.
