Time to Pray Again

He did the scans today but we will only know the outcome on Monday. Stoicism is really learnt the hard way.

Best of luck to you and yours over this period.

Though i am not a regular Mass goer, i do go on Christmas Day i shall say a prayer then.

Best regards, from across the Channel.

My wife almost dying of cancer has scarred me for life. I can’t imagine if this were to happen to one of my little girls.

Be strong.

My daughter is 7 months old - as a new dad, I can’t imagine how difficult what you are going through must be. I think if she was sick it would damn near kill me.

Prayers for your boy and your family.

Damn TBQ that’s rough. Best wishes for your son and you.

Update. The scans showed that the tumour is still growing, but very slowly. Things could be worse but it is grim news. We have now switched to a different chemo programme, which will have him spend two weeks at the hospital and then two off.

New scans around end Feb, so keep praying. He is a real fighter and one of the coolest guys I know. In between the bouts with cancer he made Eagle Scout, collecting books for the children’s cancer ward. He had noticed that the library was only stocked with books in French and Dutch, so he organised a collection in about 15 languages and built rolling bookcases.

We’ll fight this out.
