So there was a chance that I could’ve seen a dead person today. This morning when I was driving to work on the highway this guy in a ranger completely lost control of his vehicle and ended up slamming head on into a concrete barrier off the left side. You know what I can’t fucking believe?! Nobody who was right around him stopped to make sure he was okay. Fuckers just kept driving on. I was a little ways back, maybe about 50-60 feet. Anyway, I stopped a ways down on the right side so had to sprint across a busy highway(35 which goes all the way to Minnesota). Called 911 from my car first and they did have someone who had called it in. Turned out it was him. He had laid himself down on the ground and was on the phone with them. So I got down on the ground with him and just tried to comfort him till EMS arrived. Then I talked to the police for a minute, gave them my info, and headed to work. Hes going to be okay.
In other news I had a nice squat workout today. Got a ton of reps on my last set. Felt like I could’ve done more but a set of 13 squats was enough for me! The pin squats felt faster this week too.

Really good workout today. Got 6 on the last set and felt like I could’ve grinded a couple more, but was happy with what I got. I’m hoping my deadlift workout goes this well tomorrow too.

Mighty, do you find that estimated maxes are semi accurate for you? For me, they read incredibly high for squatting (damn my slow twitch legs) but seem somewhat consistent for benching/pulling.
The formula Wendler uses for 531 seems to be pretty much dead on for me. The bench may be a little high estimation though. Either way its a good way to gauge progress.
Here’s an example, I got crushed with 300 when testing my squat, but I just did yesterday 225X10 with the same stance/bar position and a 3 second pause in the bottom… Of course, I had a realization that I was fucking my form up which I fixed now.
I felt under 5’6 once semi recently, does that count? Of course, I am only shorter than 5"8’ when injured or squatting though.
I also like to pull with many different styles of deadlifts/specialty deadlifts. Conventional/sumo with a high hip position and low torso position even for pulling. Snatch grip deadlifts, a wide assortment of other specialty deadlifts, romanian of different styles and stances, SLDL’s, and of course a variety of pulling I love to do and carries over well to my sumo deadlift, conventional stance rack pulls.
I agree, Spock should be part of this group. Does she meet the height requirements ;)?
