How exactly? A seated leg curl machine involves having your legs straight and curling down. No?
You’re correct, but it looks like he’s saying you use a lying leg curl machine and sit on it (i.e. use it backwards). No doubt, someone will end up creating a thread on here about idiots using their leg curl machine wrongly.

Actually if you want to work your tibialus anterior just get in a standing calf raise machine backward so your heels are on the step and your toes are hanging off. Then dorsiflex your foot, if you need more resistance put the weight on the machine higher. The way the leverage works this allows you to work your tib ant and add resistance since you’re levering off your calcaneus. Works quite well.
When I hit the gym next week, I’m trying this. Thanks!

Lying leg curl machine, not seated, but you sit on it, not lie down. The Nautilus ones came with a pad you can place on the machine to elevate your feet up to better position the feet, but placing a folded towel under your calves works also.
I cannot find a picture of this exercise anywhere online unfortunately.
