Thyroid Pros Please Help - New Labs - Hashimoto’s?

Ok on 20mg test every other day.
Been on test for 5 years never felt good tried all the protocols and increasing / decreasing dose and still felt miserable. Finally told doc to test me for anything and everything no matter the cost because I can’t live like this any longer!

I was dieting watching calories as perfect as I could, increased workout intensity, cut all glutens and sugar and dairy from diet and didn’t loose a single pound in 6 months so I suspected thyroid.

Any recommendations or help I have dr apt in two weeks to go over and I want to be armed with as much info as possible. My dr is very flexible and will prescribe me anything I want.

Other symptoms?

I’m 44 183lbs And retired (not on disability) but should probably apply!
I have just enough energy to force myself to the gym everyday

I generally feel like I’ve played tackle football all day every day weather I workout or take time off.
Depression
Pain
Rage
Forgetfulness can’t remember simple things
Vertigo
Always hot
Night sweats
Low libido
Low erection strength / but always good enough to perform just not optimal

I’ve been diagnosed as
Depression
Chronic pain
Fibromyalgia
ADHD
Bipolar
And a few more maybe all because besides low Testosterone they could never find anything wrong with me and I finally thought the only thing left un checked was my thyroid since I couldn’t loose weight no matter what i did.

It seems this Hashimoto shit causes all the problems I’m having so maybe I’ve had it a long time?

I’m seriously feeling like I’m not sure why I’m alive most days I feel useless and I grew up being a sports star good at everything till about mid 20s

I have hashimotos. My TPO antibodies always test off the chart (>2500). I don’t think I’ve ever had any of the chronic symptoms you listed.

20mg testosterone every other days is really low. I know you said you tried a lot of different doses, but I can pretty much guarantee you 70mg/week is not nearly enough. What are your testosterone labs like?

Test is at 631
Estrogen at 29

I lowered my dose because I have low SHBG and my estrogen was always high (no AI) which is a trigger for Hashimoto I’ve found out now.

I’ve had my test and free test at top ranges before and no symptom resolution!

Those values were measured at trough?

Yes they were

What medications are you on? If you care taking medication for these 2 conditions, they surely have sexual side affects

Btw those testosterone numbers look fine. But free t?

Also check
AM cortisol
dhea-s
these 2 can check adrenal function.

I would also check iron level and ferritin and
Prolactin

Hi p hunt I feel your pain but mine did not hit until I was ~56. Do you donate blood? If you donate more than twice a year you could be crashing your ferritin. I’ve done that twice in the last 3 years. I get winded taking the trash out.

Have you talked with a therapist to help get to the bottom of your depression?
Are you on an SSRi or SNRI? If so that is why you have no libido they can also cause ED.

theres a thyroid health site stopthethyroidmadness.com recommended by several docs, dr ken d berry md mentions it as dr william davis of wheat belly fame, he has good health info in his books + his web. they all say thyroid is something few docs understand. looks like you got the tests covered but dr davis notes many values are said to be in range but his take is you want optimal not just OK. Dr Davis details the many bad effects of modern wheat as well as grains in general + how gliadin protein stimulates hunger + rockets blood sugars!!

Look into Low Dose Naltrexone (4.5mg/d) for getting your Hashimoto’s antibodies down. LDN is also used as treatment for chronic fatigue & fibromyalgia.

You may benefit from direct T3 supplementation to lower reverse T3 and increase free T3.
