Simple question. I’m considering a trial of armour or t3, depending on how my labs come back this time, and I’m curious about shut down. I’m not positive this is my remaining issue but I think a 3 month trial may be in order. If I don’t see positive results will I recover to baseline? Is so what is the usual time to return to baseline? I’ve read a lot of conflicting studies.
Just FYI six years of TRT has been awesome. I’m 70% better than I used to be and in great shape. What I’m trying to straighten out are a few remaining issues. Constant fatigue, low energy, and mild depression. I never feel fully recovered and I wake up feeling like I slept five minutes.
By the way if there is still a debate about T cyp being injected SC I think it’s safe to say it’s fine. I’ve been injecting it SC the entire time and no issues. I’ve also had way better results with Aromasin than Adex. Another thing I’ve learned is personally I think HCG doses are overdone. 200iu every ten days has been fine for me. I know a lot of guys have issues with E2 on HCG and I was one of them. Cutting back was a big help and now my E2 is manageable.
Maybe you need to have a sleep study done. No sleep/fatigue can cause depression.
You should be able to cycle off T3 and be fine…bodybuilders and physique athletes do it all the time, amongst others. I would step the dosage down to a very small amount (keep cutting it in half and stay there for a 3-4 days before lowering) until you are completely off.
Good point about the HCG dosages. I’m beginning to think the same things myself. 250 iu 3/x week was shown to be an approximate replacement dose for guys with normal functioning hormones. Obviously depending on your current diagnosis (secondary or primary) this would not be applicable for us. Although it seems most guys here are secondary and not primary.
VT thanks. That’s the way I was leaning. I’ll probably give t3 a shot. It seems like a safe trial and if nothing else I could eliminate one cause if I don’t see results. It seems funny that I have one piece missing yet. I feel ok and sexual function is fine again but I’m constantly fatigued and have zero emotion including libido. No enjoyment at all. I’m not overall moping around just void of emotion and tired. I’m in good shape but for some reason my stamina also sucks. Being 39 and in good health I don’t think that’s normal.

Sleep study definite, I also do a neurotransmitters testing which has opened up a lot of doors where hormone levels are good but symptoms still exist. The results have been very good in these cases.
Is the neurotransmitter test legit? If they’re off what can be done? I’ve had zero luck attempting to adjust.
